I've got the same problem!
Friends and my kid come over to have me french braid their hair, but no one can do mine.
I tried to teach my hubby....hahaha
He tries his best...he CAN braid awesome...he just can't french braid.
I try and try....and try..
Sometimes I'll get it not too bad.
And sometimes it's a real wreck!
The worst problem is, my arms get tired.
And I get tired of trying to get it perfect, so I just do the best I can and leave it.

all u need do is prepare the hair like u normally when doing someone else's hair.. then go over hand with the three sections of hair not under or u will end up with a regular cornrow

okay, well, it takes some armstrength...its usually easier to start out braiding dutch style...that is, the left and right strands go under instead of over the center strand
