Think of your question carefully.

BEHIND their back, is actually in FRONT of them. Perhaps if you were in front of their back, then hurled obscenities, they wouldn't know.

Therefore, it is just wrong.

It is the intent behind your actions that will come back to you that way. If you are using your mouth to be hurtful towards anybody, then you are only asking for that type of energy to be returned to you. This is the law of the Universe, the law of karma. For every action, there is a reaction whether good or bad. So that is why there is this wise saying to treat others the way you want to be treated because in the end you will receive a taste of your own medicine.

One time during high school, two of my best friends and I went to the mall. I am deaf by the way and wear hearing aids. They were walking behind me. I had said something silly to my best friend and when I turned back around to walk ahead of her, she responded "F... Y...!" in a silly and fun way. I turned around and said to her "I know what you said." She was red faced and did not expect me to actually hear and understand what she spoke to me. She thought she was not being hurtful towards me because I cannot understand words spoken to me when I am not lip reading. But this one time, I did hear and understand it clearly!

So don't assume just because a deaf person cannot hear things. We wear hearing aids, remember? They have a purpose, to AIDE hearing. So keep such words to yourself.

No, because the words would already be out there, waiting to return to you by any means necessary, but you never know how or when, usually it happens while you least expect it , and you really need to keep focused. What you send out, you will most likely get in return, only meaner, and more evil. please don`t go there, be nice, I am sure he is, peace and love from Norway

Just because someone is signing don't presume they are both deaf, 'cause I'll turn around and kick your a_s.

I am hearing but fluent in sign and have several deaf friends.

Of course. And it's okay to make rude gestures to blind people, and to flatten tires on a wheel chair.
You already know the answer to this question, so why are you pulling everyone's chain?
