There is a heaven for dogs, cats, rabbits, horses and what all else, because they have souls just as people do.
We humans have souls, but many humans feel animals are automatically excluded.
When a dog (beloved pet as I suspect drives your question) simply loves you, comes when called (acknowledging his own name) where does that spark of intelligence go when he no longer can survive physically?. His love is a spiritual connection with you. It did exist and was a real thing and there is no reason to doubt its existence after death.
Many dogs willingly have given their very lives to protect beloved human family. Where does that come from if not a soul. When it is your time to go to heaven, even if you are 100-years old, I am very certain that your dog will find you there and will not have forgotten you for a moment.
Animal experimentation would end the day we all acknowledge this very obvious fact.

I believe all dogs go to heaven. Someone stated that they do not because they have no soul. How do we know this? They live, breathe, eat, drink, dream, learn, and stay loyal companions. Dogs are God's creatures, therefore I believe since they are mans best friend and companion there is a special place in heaven for dogs and cats.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

yes, because heaven for dogs is too big. They made a smaller heaven for dogs, but if their owner dies and goes to heaven they can visit and live with them too!

The bible says that "the lion will lay down with the lamb". If they can be there, then my dogs will be there.

It just wouldn't be heaven without my dogs with me.

I think all animals go to heaven. God created them, so why wouldn't he take them back someday, just as he does humans?
