answer to sxenerdx:
It seems to me that you were quoting some miracles done by some prophet in the OT. The jews don't have any problem with them. They made some interesting point PARTICULARLY about Jesus. I doubt you read that article. You can refute them if you are ABLE to do.

I am a Christian and I do not believe that ANYTHING Jesus did was a hoax or just a magic trick. In the Bible, they talk about how people of other religions wanted to prove the followers of Jesus wrong by putting the prophet to a test. They brought in a magician and asked him and a prophet to do the same things. They asked the magician to turn a twig into a snake. He did. So did the prophet. They asked both of them to do a bunch of different things like this and they both did it.
After awhile, (I'm not sure who asked who first but) they asked the prophet and the magician to put flames out of a burning alter without using water. The magician could not do this but the prophet could by calling on the name of God.
Explain how the magician couldn't do it but the prophet could. It is because he believed in God, called upon his name, and this miracle happened. I know this is right because I have felt it is right in my heart, body, mind, and soul. I have never felt anything so strongly in my life. When you feel this way, all your doubts and fears leave and you feel as if you can do anything.
Sorry, I'm rambling.

Prophet Moses came when magic was popular among the population and he performed miracles in accordance with sticks turning into snakes and such.

Prophet Jesus came when medicine was popular and cured many.

Prophet Mohammad (SAW) came when literature and poetry was popular, as will be b/c it is the form of education to come and the Holy Qur'an, the written miracle lives with us today.

WOW..someone really went out of there way for nothing. I could do the same thing to anyone in history..I could do the same thing about the story of George Washington...it really is simple minded giberish..I read for 5 minutes and poke about 95 holes in this until I became bored.

If Jesus was fake...it would be a FACT your still talking about him after 2000 years..he got ya!

I am an Atheist.

I have studied the bible in depth, and have found that I can't believe a word of it.

I was raised Catholic, and the only answer to any of my questions was "doubt is a sin". This is a cop out for "I don't have any proof"

The bible goes aginst logic, science, and reason. It seems to me to be an adult version of Santa.

It was trying to explain these miracles that can't be explained. This article didn't prove anything except that people won't accept that a miralce occured. Most of thses arguements don't make any sense.

The internet is not a place of truth. Study the Torah (first four books of the bible) and the Prophets. The old testement is all you need to know.

We already know that the Jewish people don't accept Jesus as the messiah, if they did they would be Christians. Atheists, well, we don't understand your need to believe this stuff, Christians will damn you to hell for daring to ask a question. But you forgot the agnostics, they don't know what to believe. Anyway, it was interesting, thanks.
