What do “family” and “family values mean to you?

Family is people that you didn't get to choose to be a part of your life. They are people that look like us, act somewhat like us, and was instilled the same "family values" like us. They are people that we see on special occasions, holidays, vacation, and if we live in the same town, occasionally around the same shops we go to. We love them, and when we don't feel like we make sense, all it takes is a visit to one of their places to see we came from the same planet. A good comfort level. Family values, is how we were raised, where we came from and the things are parents instilled in us (manners, respect, love, care, etc) from our first moment on. Now I am not saying we are carbon copies of any one in our family. We are individuals, and unique, but our roots and values are a gift we usually share for the rest of our life's.

Family to me is my support group, the people dearest to my heart, my strength, my family. Family like many people have said are what makes a person who they are, without family we would not be here. Friends, co-workers, husbands/wives may come and go, but your family will always be there for you.

Family values are what you learned from your family when you were growing up, they are the morals and values that your parents instilled in you. They are what you will pass along to your children/family.

"Family" is the people that are the nearest and dearest to me and who love me too.
"Family Values" are the things that you do as a family and keep near and dear to your heart, things like the entire family attending Church together (things that are expected from each individual) and each individual respects and reciprocates these things. How you teach your children to behave at home and in public, and how they respect you as their parents. That kind of stuff.
I hope you understood what I was trying to say.

Family is the one soft place to fall in yor entire life! They should be respectful caring and compassionate to each other at all times. You always know they will be there when all your friends are gone-to comfort you. To value your family is to hold them up in your heart-do whatever it takes to make sure they are not alone and feel loved by you.

When my family put me hell, abuse, lock me in my room, drinking plm., lying, etc......... I learned that I have to change that to make my family best family values to me. I learn so much since my daughter and son wow and my wife.. wow the best thing in the world to me and I have finally have normal family. and Now I learn and grow love, trust, proect, communcate, honest, etc. I grew to be best parents and husband to my family.

I glad that I don't have to carry like what my family back then. Good news I cross the line with my whole family. and I felt good about this.

Not family values when they make you feel like crap, beat you becasue not know how to commucate with you, not family value when your family abuse you and it not family value when they lie to you. not at all. I AM GLAD I CHANGE IT SMILING.

FAMILY MEANS TO ME; LOVE AND RESPECT. AND UNCONDITIONAL LOVE FROM PARENTS AND SIBLINGS.
"VALUES" ARE WHAT OUR PARENTS TEACH US FROM RIGHT AND WRONG.
