It's not too bad but you totally don't get much money for it.
My brother used to throw big parties when my parents went out of town. So, one time I took all the bottles and cans afterwards and recycled them thinking I was going to rake in some serious cash.
I got $5. I bought taco bell.

Where do you live?
If you live in one of the states where you can get 5 or 10 cents a can, it's very much worth the trouble! you could be making $1.20 back on every 12-pack you drink.
Otherwise, in my opinion it is worth the trouble just because of the resources you save. It seems like such a small thing to do, but you are a small part of a very large system, and if everyone puts in a little effort, we really save a lot. Aluminum cans are one of the best things to recycle, because they get re-used immediately.
If you don't live in one of those states, you might be able to get almost a penny a can, so if there is a place near your house or a place you shop that recycles, that would definitely be worth it, even if you're not concerned about the environment at all.

Its not a matter of whether the money is good or not. You pay a recycling fee and or a deposit on the cans and bottles .. you get that back when you return them. It might not add up to much, but you are helping the environment by recycling and getting something in return. When you do save them.. make sure you return them more often than once a year! LOL
My hubby drinks alot of pop and he just bags up the cans and throws them in the shed. When they start falling out the door he decides to return them. He gets anywhere from $80-$100.
So it does add up...
and if you dont want to hassle with returning them .. counting them.. then donate them to the kids that come around fundraising for their scout group or sports group.

It relies upon on how plenty attempt you're prepared to place into it. My grandpa and that i used to collect aluminum cans, and actual we made thousands of greenbacks. anyplace we drove (united states roads incredibly), he would supply up and that i'd get out and placed cans interior the back of the truck. we would top off trash bags and as quickly as we've been given a brilliant style of huge trash bags, we would pull the tabs off and placed them in a milk jug. Then we would overwhelm the cans and placed them in a clean bag. the hot bag would circulate interior the back of the truck. It took a brilliant style of time and it rather is not some thing you're able to do quickly with purely the cans you have, yet i think of it become well worth it. The tabs got here to stable use too.. i become in seventh grade and all of a stunning they desperate to do a soda-tab contest. Whichever type would desire to convey mutually the main tabs have been given a pizza party & all varieties of stuff. So mutually as actually everyone become combating over tabs off the soda cans from lunch, I purely sat back and watched. :) on the tip, I introduced in 3 5-gallon buckets finished and we needless to say gained.... super thoughts.. lol sorry to get off the project there pal!

A few years ago or more,I knew this elderly man named charlie. I would always see him around town looking into trash cans,at baseball fields, supermarkets etc.
He was 70 and most people including his family wouldn't have much to do with him.
Charlie became homeless and asked me if he could live with me,since I was alone at the time.
I said yes and it was quite an interesting time.
Charlie lost most of his eye sight and was unable to drive any more.
He loved the casinos and I took him alot,if my luck was down he had no problem "giving me a few hundred"
I wondered where he got his money, but he always had a thousand or so on him.
one day he asked me to drive him to a coin shop.
he took a briefcase from the trunk of his car and we went.
he sold $8000.00 worth of coins all bought with can and bottle money.
I had a blast with him,the can man and will never forget him.

In my city, the city give us recycling bins. Instead of letting the city have them, I recycle it myself about 3 times a year. Got about 8 to 13 dollars each time.

It depends where you live. Some places only give a little bit for cans. Here I believe you can get around 17 cents a pound so ultimately it might not be worth it.

No girl its not worth it. Because you can have a large bags cans and maybe get $5.00 if that much and also you will need to rinse them out after drinking to keep the little bugs away. Bugs are attracted to sweets.
