I have a bachelor degree in economics and some diploma in mass communications (both from Indonesia). And i'm not married or having any kids, so it just means that I'd be supporting just myself. So you think working part time like waitressing will not cover living cost? Thx.

Tough question. While many colleges and universities in New York City have evening hours to accommodate working student (I figure the average Masters' student is in their 30s, married, work, and has kids), if you need a job to support yourself that can be a bit challenging.

It depends on whether you want to work in the area you have your Bachelors' Degree, and what type of work you want to do in general. The cost of living is pretty high in New York 9especially Manhattan), so part-time work, or close to minimum wage work will definitely NOT cover living expenses.

I would need to know more about your situation (what type of degree you have, the type of work you want to do, how many hours you want to dedicate to working vs school, where you want to live, how much you are willing to spend on expenses, etc) to truly help you. Give some more details to get a better answer to your question.

Waitressing? In my opinion....probably not. (ASSUMING when you say "NYC" you mean "Manhattan".) This depends on your lifestyle, though. I'm sure there's a way, if you're exceptional at money management, need very little sleep, and don't mind not having a social life.
