my girl friend is on the nuva ring and has been crazy since she cry s for no reason and has emotional ups and downs like crazy will this go away or what ... is it normal??

Have her visit her doctor.


POSSIBLE PROBLEMS:
Call the health department, your physician or seek emergency care if you have any of the following symptoms:
A - Severe Arm or leg pain, or unusual swelling
C - Severe or crushing Chest pain, shortness of breath or coughing up blood
H - Severe, sudden Headache or increase in frequency of severe headaches
E - Sudden loss of vision or blurred vision (Eyes)
S - Severe Stomach pain
If you are having regular periods and miss your period, call the health department, you may be pregnant

That could happen to some people. Depends on the person.
Maybe she could change to some other birth control that won't make her as emotional if you talk to her? Maybe she could be on the shot, which she gets every 3 months. Or maybe even one of the types of birth control pills out there if she can take a pill a day.

how long has she been on it? if its been a few days ok give it time, but if not i'd definitely tell her to let her dr know right away, it may be she needs to try something else, maybe a lower dose of hormones. trust me this stuff can really mess with you and in some bizarre ways too, its not a little thing and if she's having trouble with it she needs to get back to the dr asap.

I think all birth control will make you moody. Been there done that. Your girlfriend needs to talk to her gyno and let him/her know the mood swings she is going through and the gyno can prescribe a birth control method that has lower hormone levels. They have them out there.

It's due to the hormone level, she may level out & she may not it's different for everyone. She should try a different method of bc

It effects every female differently. Its full of hormones! Get use to it!
