You ask them " What nationality are you from?"
Then they tell you " Oh I am a mutt I am 1/2 chineese, 1/3 italian, 1/5 German , 1/8 French, 1/3 Portuguese, 1/2 Chiwawa and part German Sheperd, 1/3 Swedish, and 1/6 Norwegian"
I mean if you add this up they add up to like 3 people.
It's silly they mention every country in the world and the most annoying part is when they finish naming half the world they finish it off all the time by saying :
"Oh yeh I'm also part native American "Cherokee"!
People do NOT find this cool " They don't say " OH that is amazing...You are SUCH a cool person "
I find this highly annoying.....I asked a simple question where you were from and NOT for you to trace your blood origins.
I mean I am from Central America ( El Salvador) I am light skinned with light hair. Where people ask me where I am from I DONT say
"oh I am 1/2 Mayan Indian and 1/2 Spanish and part Yack"
IF You DONT KNOW! Don't make stuff up !!! PLEASE! you sound silly and desperate.....

Eh. Not all women do that. I myself simply say 'Irish-American' because, well, that's it. There's a bit of mutt mixed in there, but I was born in Galway and raised in Texas, and thus am predominantly Irish and American. Simple as pie.
And I think I may be the only person on the planet who isn't part Cherokee. EVERYONE is part Cherokee. The friggin' Cherokee are the Heinz 57 of the native cultures, jeez.

Wow, if people find your question so pointless then why do they waste time answering it? Hello? Wow, one point for a crappy answer...
Very interesting observation though... I am not one of these people so I can only guess that people like to sound better than they are. Or answer a simple question with a long answer that starts up a conversation when they find out that the person who asked them is also 1/18th Cherokee...

LOL!!! Wow. I wonder what you sound like when you're upset about something of importance. I get what you're saying and I agree that those conversations are annoying. I've heard men and women go into those random lists of ethnic backgrounds.
Just chill. People are all mixed with something and some people have a hardcore interest in finding out about it. Not everyone is full of dookie. I doubt she's really part "German Shepard" though. LOL! Woof!

People are mixes and it is hard to add it all up so they just guess! I am a woman and I just try to answer with I am a mixed breed! People do not want to sound like mutts. I know I work at a pet store Mutts just do not sell for much money and people want to sound like they are worth a lot because they are too!

wow well you have a lot to say but i can definitely comment on this i will answer from a doctors point of view. For women it is very important to know that they are excepted. A women will do what ever it is to make you want her and need her. Certain heritages and nationalities connect very well and women look for that 1 percent "we click cause im also Jewish or Spanish or black" type of a thing. So don't jump to conclusions women are women and its there way of presenting themselves to you.

Most people confuse ethnicity and nationality. My nationality is American because that is where I was born and live. My ethnic background is British, Irish, Scot, Welsh, French & Swiss; in what percentages I have no idea. Most people just don't understand the differences between them so making them feel foolish doesn't make them or you feel any better.

well not all women lie about their heritage, i mean who are you to judge. you might think that it's fake but you really don't know so you can't say.. as for the people who do lie, well they probably do that because they think that it might sound more interesting, but of course there is no reason for them to do so. Needless to say, don't get annoyed over such an issue. If they want to lie about an their heritage, let them, they're not killing you by doing so are they? Exactly.
