hello hello we are the Celtic Bhoys!
The Glaswegian slag is like a different language. I left Glasgow 16 years ago and when I go home it's hard to pick up what some people are saying!

It's part of weegie rhyming slang. Back in the day Celtic supporters were called Timaloys (which is where the nickname Tims comes from), rhyme that with Bhoys and there you have it. At least, that's my recollection of the Bhoys origin.

Bhoys was a term used to describe Irish immigrants, normally illiterate labourers, in New York, as a cheeky way of referring to the way they spoke and also to the fact most couldnt spell properly.
this stuck as a nickname at Celtic, who have a major Irish influence in their history, originally formed by Brother Walfrid as a way of fund raising for the catholic Irish immigrant community of Glasgow.

Becuase everybody knows that Catholic Priests like small boys and Celtic were founded by Irish Immigrants who also donated money to the Catholic Church
Thus: Priests love for Boys and Priests love for Celtic's generocity became bhoys.

Its because of their love for young male children.
Theres a long history of ''fathers'' abusing their trust by god and blatantly(or not so blatantly) touching up young ''bhoys''.
