Many if not most of the people present there: Jews, Romans, heathens, atheists, secularists, infidels, gentiles, disciples, followers, etc. who would in effect be representative of the vast majority of all living then and after were responsible for not stopping the courts and Roman soldiers from crucifying the Jew Jesus. Whenever we choose to do that which is not right we are similarly responsible.

Historical evidence suggests that the Romans killed Jesus. About a decade ago, the pope admitted that the Jews did not kill Jesus.

The "Jewish conspiracy" is such a crock - and one invented by the apologists for Roman masters. If the Jewish leaders had wanted to whack Jesus, he would've been toast way before the "trial." The fact is the Romans didn't want to look like the killers once Jesus became the in thing, but at the time they had no problem executing anyone who pi**ed them off.

The Jewish priests convicted him of saying he was the King of the Jews, although he did not say it, he didnt deny it.
Claiming to be King of Jews was an earthly king offense. Not the "heavenly" king.
I hope i explained that to where it makes sense. To have a claim to the throne would have caused upheaval of the current king ( who did not have the royal blood line to throne, but Jesus DID have the royal blood line, through Mary, and even Joseph if you want to count him ).
So, as to spare another riot during their holy week, they had Jesus killed, becsause the Jewish Priests would have caused a riot.
Read the bible in the literal sense. and learn about Jesus's blood line. Too many people take the bible figurativley, when literally it is the truth, and proven through history. ( refering to his blood line)

They were looking for Messiah that would free them from their physical bondage in Rome.
He didn't deliver that, he offered spiritual freedom, from sin.
That's why he was killed, the Jewish priests accused him of blasphemy against God, because he claimed to be the son of God and that was punishable by death.
Yes the Romans pulled the trigger, but the ones who were behind his death were the Jewish high priests. I didn't say all Jews. The early church were all mainly Jews following Jesus.
No one is blaming Jews....Simply stating facts, get over it and stop suspecting everyone is against the Jews...geez

The romans did..not the Jews. Jesus was a Jewish person. I hope you won't say things about them....that wouldn't be very Christ like, remember the words Jesus spoke about the Jewish people..he loved them...love works better than hate

Well, the bible says so. I find it interesting that even Pilate knew the Jewish leaders had delivered Jesus to him "out of envy" (Matthew 27:18). The gospels tell us that the Pharisees sought to kill Jesus because the people followed Him and the Pharisees saw their exalted position of authority threatened.

The Romans killed Jesus, but SOME high-ranking Jewish leaders, and other Jewish people, wanted him to die.
Are you white? Why did white people kill Martin Luther King Jr.? Jealous of black people?
You get my point?
Any time a person challenges the ruling class in a dramatic and powerful way, they put themselves in a dangerous position. (remember Jesus talking about prophets not being loved in their own towns?)
Also remember: Jesus was Jewish; his followers were Jewish; Paul was Jewish. Jesus mom was Jewish! Did Mary kill Jesus?
You way of thinking has been around for two thousand years, and has led to much suffering for Jewish people.

If the Jews killed your god I guess that makes them supergods. Honestly though, Jesus did what was considered by the Torah a sin punishable by death which was preaching things deliberately against the Torah.
