Jews. Mentally challenged people. Old people. Gays. People with physical handicaps. Basically anyone that Hitler didn't think would be able to contribute to "his" society. It wasn't just Jewish people, even though they are the minority most associated with the Holocaust.

Either way, it was so sad.

The largest single group that really died in the WWII was the White folks (perhaps 60 million??), including the Americans, the British, the French, the German Nazis and the Russians (20 million were killed by Stalin alone by starving the farmers in Ukraine and other areas of Russia). Forty million is the rough estimate of those who were killed in several European countries. In addition Thousands of Indians, Africans and Arabs died also as well as others such as gypsies, gays and the crippled and the mentally handicapped paid a terrible price too, whose deaths are not mentioned that much. Chinese died at the hands of the Japanese, so did the Koreans, Philipinos and others in that region.

True holocaust was of the Japanese at Hiroshima and Nagasaki, who were given literally no warning and burnt alive. Plus hundreds of thousands of Japanese died in the bombings and in war in the killing fields of Asia.

Indeed all this murder at a vast scale of the nonJews does not justify the deliberate murder of the Jewish people. Murdering a single person is killing all humanity in our belief system, as not only those who were targetted were killed, but all those who would come in the lineage of those who were killed. Thus it is wrong to say only six million Jews died. Many more died, who were never allowed to be born!!

That was indeed a terrible war, and so are all wars. I wish people would not war!!

Gypsies, Slavs, other groups mentioned by other people ...

Many Catholic priests and nuns were Holocaust victims due to their outspoken opposition to the Nazis ... as were some Protestant ministers, though it was harder for them to speak out because they, unlike the Catholic priests, often had wives and families to worry about.

The irony is that Hitler believed the "master race" should be tall, blonde, fair skinned and have blue eyes....and basically tried to exterminate all others.....while he himself was a short, dark haired man....filled with hate.
