Because this is just a game to them. They are ignorant and know no other way. I like to choose the questions I want to answer. I am doing it for fun too but I do not think insults or expressing stupidity is fun. But that's just me. We are all unique and awesome creatures in our own way. Don't take it personally.
I hope people who need real help are not looking for it here.

I dont know - but personally, it really irritates me too. I dont understand why they do this, coz its not necessary. They could just skip the question and not say anything. I think they have issues and are screaming for some validation of some sort, to make them feel better. Maybe they are emotionally violent in their nature so much that all that comes from their mouths is derogatory.

Because some of the questions are rude or dumb, I Had to insult a guy earlier for making fun of Judge Judy, he spelled her name JEWdy, now how prejudice could he be? But if it is a serious question, then I always try to help the person.

Because it's very easy to say mean things online where nobody can reach you. Some people spend all day doing this, because they're too afraid to say anything confrontational to anybody in real life. Just ignore them, they desperately need attention- and that's a bad way to go about it. Also, don't be afraid to report them; after enough of that, Yahoo will block them.

They are probably the types who gripe and complain about everything under the sun and think they know-it-all. I'm around someone like that all day long at work. They always have to make a smart alec remark about everyone and everything.

Because its easy for cowards to say insulting things, using the anonymity of a faceless electric device. In real life they are all probably just lonely losers.

I guess some people need to vent the anger and hostility they feel at some innocent bystander like yourself. Too bad they don't just get a good shrink or a punching bag to work it out on. Ignore the idiots. Life is too short to let them get to you!

They do that just for amusement...they are rude and inconsiderate. I always ask questions that need real answers, and half of the time people leave ridiculous answers to gain points and aren't much of a help.

I do resent the automatic condemnation of what should be a reasonable question , particularly those on religion and politics. On the other hand, some "questions" are just that bad, and the people who ask them are obviously just "asking for" abuse..

stupid questions deserve stupid answers. if you give a reasonable answer to a moronic question. the questioner won't realize that what they asked was either common sense or plain out stupid. when you give dumb answers, people will begin to wonder why dumb answers are all they're getting. might make them realize their questions are futile and make them think a little harder next time they ask one.
