That's a tough one. With low light and no flash the camera has difficulty focusing and the distance a subject will be in-focus is shorter.

Try using less telephoto and putting the camera on a tripod or table. Use manual focus if your camera allows it. If not give it plenty of time to focus and use the AF assist lamp.

It may not be possible with this camera. Not all cameras have equal capabilities.
