The ushers usually do it when they're cleaning up to bring things to the reception hall

Have someone blow it out after everyone has left the place the wedding was held.

Better idea: You and your hubby could send everyone else over to the reception and the two of you stay back to blow it out. You will be so tired already and it will give you some alone time. Plus, this will probably be the first real alone time that you will have together all day long. Have fun!!

Your parents light their family candle, then after the majority of the ceremony, you and your husband pick up your respective family candles and light your unity, then blow out the family candle. After the wedding is over, someone blows out your unity candle.

You really want to wait until after the service is over and the church is cleared. If you are having your wedding outside or the reception at the same location the best way to handle it, is to do it when the bride and groom is commanding attention (like during the first dance).

I just got married on June 3. Someone blew ours out after all the guests were out and the wedding was over.

I think the minister does it when the ceremony is over. Ask him or her at the rehersal dinner how that is usually handled.
