You sound same to me (black lady eccentric tastes, i wager) except i'm in my early 20's. My boyfriend, who's likewise black, likes an same issues I do. Anime, Cartoons, Gaming, Manga, Comics, videos, Literature, etc (truly all issues contained in the nerd universe). Meet him SOONER than LATER...find out now if your connection is true before you spend a lot of time online. I feel that if we make "meeting" people from online and immediate thing, then we might get away from people using the internet to hide their true selves. Just a thought...

I have meet a friend offline , I waited 9 months before we meet in person, we talk online and phone but waited a while to meet in person. Its safe that way and you can really get to know them.

If you know him well enough to trust him, then go for it.
If you don't know him that well yet...keep talkin to him until you know him like the back of your hand, and you know that he isn't gonna do anything to suprise you. Suprises are never good when it comes to these things, it just takes trust.
