In the Christian religion why don't people get judged on there good works, there morals, there heart? I mean no one is perfect everyone has they're bad bits but I would say mostly good people. Why are we all sinners as soon as we're born why are we all aparently immoral and not good enough for God? Why did God create beings that aren't good enough for him? Why did He put the tree of knowledge in the gared of Eden if he didn't want Adam and Eve to eat from it? Do we get judge if there is a judgment day what do we get judged by do we only get judged by what we believe? I don't get it.

Good work, morals, good heart... All these would be just a matter of opinion if we wouldn't have specific religious standars. These religious standars are there for a reason. Without them, we wouldn't be able to determine what morals or good works truly mean.
Humans don't just automatically become sinners as soon as they are born. We are labeled as sinners even though we don't even have the chance to sin, because christianity says we bare the sin of Adam and Eve, which is not a personal sin.
No one said God created beings that aren't good enough for Him. Humans weren't initially the sinners that they are today. Adam and Eve were considered perfect until they disobeyed God.
True, God didn't want Adam and Eve to eat from the tree of knowledge. So why do you think He put it in the Garden of Eden? To test them, see if they can resist the temptation. Just because a person doesn't do a certain thing, that doesn't mean that he/she wouldn't do it if they had the chance to. If God wouldn't have offered this temptation to Adam and Eve, they would have probably remained in Heaven. But it would have been too easy. Temptations exist because they are supposed to determine whether people are worthy or not.
When we get judged, we will be judged by absolutley everything: our thoughts, our words, our actions. But of course, there are many different versions regarding this subject, it depends on what religious beliefs you have.

Quite honestly, a "why" question about God's plan of salvation cannot be answered. Because any answer about God needs to come from His word....to be the absolute truth. We can guess at things...but unless the bible reveals the why of something, that's all it is: a guess.

What we can know for sure is that God sent His son to save us from our sins. Since the fall in the garden, we are each born with a sin nature. That's why we sin. You never have to teach children to be selfish do you? No. You have to teach them to share and to respect others. We have a "bent" to satisfy ourselves alone.

Yes, there will be a judgment day. God has said that we will be judged on one thing: who do you say Jesus is? Those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior will be granted entrance to the kingdom of God. Those who reject Him, will go to hell. It is not true that our works save us. The bible clearly says in the book of Ephesians "for it is by grace we are saved, through faith; not by works that any man should boast".

This makes an awful lot of people angry. But please hear these words. They are the simple truth.

I appreciate you don't understand why this is. Perhaps if you spent some time reading the bible, you would come to know the character of God a bit better. He is a loving God, compassionate, slow to anger, full of mercy. But He is also a holy, righteous God and will someday judge the living and the dead.

In a friendly manner, I ask that you please think carefully about all these things.

When God created the universe, He saw that it was "good." Then, He gave our ancestors an opportunity to choose between Him and themselves. They had one command to obey, and chose instead to disobey. God allowed this so that they could freely choose between good and evil. Because of that sin, the world, everyone, and everything in it, is under a curse. This is called "The Fall." Since the fall, people have chosen to act on all kinds of impulses.

Every person is born inherently sinful. Whatever their "bent," they can choose between the wrong and the right. Those who act on their impulses for whatever they crave, offend a holy God daily.

In Isaiah, God tells us that our righteous acts are as filthy rags (menstrual cloths) in His sight, Jeremiah tells us that our hearts are desperately wicked, and deceitful above all things.

If I have a fleshly craving for power, and I act upon that, making a jerk of myself, and making others around me miserable, I am just as much of a sinner as the man or woman who have a craving for illicit sexual fulfillment. One is not necessarily worse than the other, but the end is the same. Unless the person repents, they will perish. For God doesn't show favoritism.

The nice thing about all of this is, we don't have to live like that anymore. Jesus paid our fine; served our time, for the crimes against God that we've committed. All we need do is to turn from our sin, our former lives, and receive Jesus into our lives and follow Him. Then, we put on His righteousness. It's a precious gift!

Only those who have refused to receive the free gift He alone provides, will be judged at the end of time. They will be judged by their ability to keep the Ten Commandments. Anyone who worships anything other than God, anyone who has misused the name of God, such as in a curse, those who have not honored their parents, those who have lied, stolen, had sex outside a marriage covenant, those who have wanted what someone else owns, all will receive the penalty for their sin. Unless they are saved by Jesus Christ.

Those who have received the gift of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, have already had their fines paid, and sentence served by Jesus Christ, their substitute.

Wow, you sound confused. Ok..this is my beliefs: our good works, our morals, and whats in our heart IS what we get judged on(sorry, don't see how that could be confusing). Exactly, nobody is perfect..the only perfect person was Jesus , so God doesn't expect us to be perfect (because its impossible) but he does expect us to be good. We are sinners as soon as we're born because of natural sin....I dunno, I don't exactly understand that one either. And where did you get the idea that we're not good enough for God? We are, or at least were until Adam and Eve sinned by disobeying and giving in to temptation. And I believe we get judged by what we do here on earth, not only by what we believe (but thats one in the same). I hope I was of help. Good luck!

Because we start out bad and full of sin(lol) and eventually learn about God. So we work our way through life doing and making good choices to get on God's list. That tree thing pobably, to see if Adam and Eve would make a choice to disobey him or not.The rest of the questions ask a pastor or some1.(views of a 14yr.)

good works doesn't necessarily mean good heart, cuz a pastor may "do good works" but in his heart he lies to the church and wife by cheating with the secretary and embezzling money from the church. People can hide their feelings or portray another person, ya know two faced, fake the funk. If in your heart is the motivation of love then your actions will follow and God will see that in your heart.

The Bible says that no one is saved by their works lest they boost. To avoid boosting which is a sin or could develop in sin - Jesus tries to teach the wisdom of humility, and patience. Dependence on a God that is caring and loving. We are naturally evil and our natural thing to do is to be selfish and greedy. Jesus died for us because no matter how much good works you do you still would not be worthy because you are still sinful in the sight of God - you were born in it and shapen in it. To be clean we have to have Jesus as our representative. We didn't make ourselves, we can't save ourselves, if this were possible Jesus wouldn't have to die - read the gospels to find out how important it is to accept Jesus and not to rely on self. The Bible also says that our righteousness is like filty rags in the sight of God - we cannot comprehend perfection in our sinful state that is why we need Jesus.

Most protestants believe that we are judged by one's faith. Therefore, if you believe in Christ as your "personal savior," you are saved.

Catholics believe that initial salvation is born from faith, but it is what you do with the faith by which you are judged. So, believing in Christ is not enough... you have to do good works as well.
