Adam and Eve were together. Eve ate of the "fruit of Knowledge of Good and Evil" first. Adam saw that she did not instantly die. He was curious and he ate too.

Eve probable ate first because she was more trusting and loving. That is how God designed her. If you find a woman that is not trusting now, It is probably because she once trusted and was hurt severely.

Adam wanted to believe what the serpent said, but was scared and not so trusting. That is the way God designed him. But again, then Eve ate and did not die instantly. So curious but cautious Adam ate too.

It was supposed to be the fruit taken from the tree of knowledge of good and evil, not an apple tree. Although it's a lot easier to say apple, than fruit taken from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Adam ate it because he was hungry, and he asked Eve what was for dinner, and she replied "what the **** do you think's for dinner, peabrain, APPLES of course. Like everynight. There's sod all else to bloomin well eat in this garden."

Adam may have realized that Eve would be separated from God and pushed out of Eden to live the remainder of her life in outer darkness, isolation, and loneliness so he demonstrated the ultimate selfless act of compassion by eating the fruit after she did fully knowing the judgement that awaited them when his eyes were opened to sin. His motivation may have been honorable; and yet, the 2d and 3d order of effects brought about devastating consequences.

The Bible explains that a spirit creature of God had taken a willful course of opposition and resistance to God. This one, who later came to be known as Satan, spoke through a serpent in Eden and led Eve and, through her, Adam away from subjection to God’s sovereignty.

By eating of the tree, Adam and Eve placed their judgment above God’s, indicating that they wanted to judge for themselves what is good and what is bad.

This act of disobedience and disrespect resulted in a loss of everlasting life that they could have enjoyed if they had been obedient.

eve had partaken and for doing so was going to be banished from the garden of eden. God had commanded that they multiply and replenish the earth. in order to do that they had to be together so adam partook so he could obey God's command and be with Eve. by the way, there's no proof it was an apple.

He had no will to do evil; No evil inclination, but he decided that he would be an even better person, if he had a will to do evil and overcame it, so he eats the apple, or whatever fruit, and gains an evil inclination, in order to overcome it.
