I am an eye doctor so I think I am the perfect person to answer this question. The answer is... um... both or either.
I think of winking as closing one eye but leaving the other open. But I believe you can actually wink with both eyes as well.
You can also blink either or both eyes.
When a patient has one eye that is irritated, they often appear to be winking at me. I don't wink back however.
For patients with only one eye, I ask them to blink their eye.
Hope that helps.

You are blinking and winking, since you technically don't have to have two eyes to blink one. You can call it blinking or winking. Sorry I didn't have a more decisive answer for you, "wink, wink".

You are so funny! I'm laughing so hard right now! It must still be a blink though, a wink is more crinkled. :)

It depends. Blinking is involuntary. If you force it, it's winking.
