First of all I am a JESUS FREAK. I'm a Christian, Second,, anyone can give advice on this site, unfortunately there are some really strange people out there. Hopefully whoever asked the question has sense enough not to listen to senseless and idiotic advice such as that. Granted,, anyone can call them self a Christian, but not all people believe the same thing. For instance, some Mormon people believe it is ok to have 6-7 wives and have children with their own children etc..
So please be careful who you are placing blame on. Just because they Love Jesus, doesn't mean they have common sense.

Well now, I'm a christian, and I would never tell a kid that old to have children, and I don't know anyone else that would either. Simply stupid. Also, the bible does not tell us how old Mary was. When someone says she was 13 or 14, they're just guessing. I told my daughter to wait until she was situated in a good career, after college of course.

I'm not a christian, but I'd like to point out that until very recent times, american settlers and throughout recorded history, girls as young as 13 and sometimes even as young as 9 were REGULARLY married and having babies. I also saw movies about the settlers and this was fairly common. It wasn't the standard, but it has long been considered permissible for a girl to have a baby once she was capable physically.
In these times, it doesn't appear that 13 would be sufficient for preparation for the world but, keep in mind, its legal in some states with adult permission. Also, a 13 year old has much greater risk of underweight in the baby and premature birth rate, but that could also be in part due to lack of education of the 13 year old knowing how important it is to put on weight and being caught up in the society's push for staying thin.

Well, to play devil's advocate for a moment, 13 or 14 is a good age to have kids BECAUSE that's when our bodies are most ready for childbirth. We're designed (or evolved) to have kids at a young age, and when life expectancy was 25, it made sense to start young. It's only because of our society and the fact that people are still kids at the age of 18 that it's no longer acceptable for kids to have kids.
I have the feeling that whoever gave that advice was just being a smartass, but I don't know.

in case you actual look up the skip connection with the scripture at John 18: 6 you will see it factors to John 7:40 six the place it states "The officers spoke back: “by no potential has [yet another] guy spoken like this.” They knew he become the "Christ" this is Greek for Messiah. It says no longer something approximately Him being God. alongside comparable strains, we would desire to examine Philippians 2:9, the place the apostle Paul describes what God did after Jesus died and become resurrected. The verse says: "God exalted him [Jesus] to an excellent place and kindly gave him the call this is above the different call." If Jesus become God or equivalent to God beforehand he died and God later exalted him to an enhanced place, would that no longer placed Jesus above God? yet how would desire to all people become extra perfect to God? And if he become God beforehand he died, how can God die? there is not any "secret" right here. Jesus is the Son of God. additionally, God constantly stated Jesus as his son, and Jesus constantly stated God as his father, displaying that God become older and had extra authority. He additionally mentioned that he got here to do God's will and not his very own, displaying 2 wills; his father and his. 2 separate wills. in case you opt to circulate on believing that God has 3 heads, then you rather would desire to have 3 too, seeing which you have been created in his photograph!

Anyone who would tell a child that is a fool even if they claim to be a Christian or not. That is not a part of the teachings of Christ. That is a perfect case of judging the action of what a person says and does. Their actions betray them. They are wrong.

Although I have my disagreements with Christians, I must say labelling all of them 'Jesus Freaks' or lumping them together is a little presumptuous. I think Evangelical Jesus Freaks may be more appropriate.

That was pretty dumb advice. It doesn't mean that all Jesus Freaks are idiots. Hundreds of years ago it was normal for girls to marry and have children young. Thankfully, that is no longer the norm.

My question is what does that have to do with me? I'm Christian, but there are a lot of non-believers that give horrible advise. One person gave stupid advise and now it's all "Jesus Freaks" as you put it. Is that fair?
