Need info on vaccines?

I put this in parenting because I know parents know a lot about immunization.
I want to get the vaccines I never had as a child. I know I never had the ones for Hep. A or B, meningitis, or pneumonia. I am a very sickly type person and want to get these even if they're not required. Can I go and start these all in one day? Shots really don't bother me so that's not an issue. I just wanna get them done ASAP. How many can a doctor give in one day. Can I get all those?

Hep A you can get asap. Hep B dont get it unless you are going out of the US on vacation or you are a health care worker (nurse, dental hygienist, etc) other wise it is a waste of money. Hep B is 3 shots over SERERAL months. I only got it cause i am a Dental student and i had to.
Menigitis you only need it if you live in a dorm or live with tons of people and share fluids (drinks, razors, etc). Also most state's supply of the Meningitis vaccine is low so they will ONLY give it to people who have been exposed. I cant even get it in the state of Massachusetts, even though i have asked again and again every year, because the supply is too low.
Also get a TB test to make sure you dont have TB if you really want to make sure you are super healthy. it is a quick injection under the skin and you go back to the dr in a few days and if you have no reaction that means you dont have TB. (no vaccine for it and the only way they know if you have it, if you dont have signs showing, is the injection test).
If you work with animals (vet, vet tech) get rabies vaccine. If you dont work with animals dont get it.
You cant get everything in one day so you will be having tons of dr visits.
Also get a Tetnus and Diptheria booster/ shot. Called TD. Get that EVERY 10 years! Tetnus happens if you step on a nail, cut yourself with a metal can, etc and the bacteria makes your body go into a PAINFUL uncontrolable all over muscle contractions. Every muscle contracts and eventually you die from suffocation unless you are rushed to a hospital in time where they can put you on a respirator. So get the TD booster. That should be your first shot if you havent had it ever or in the last 10 years. If you cant remember get it.
Also scientists are on the verge of developing a Hep C vaccines so get that when/if it comes out (next few years it should come out).
In addition if you have NEVER had chicken pox, get that vaccine because never getting chicken pox means never having the chance of getting shingles later.
Get MMR vaccine if you never had it as a child. Measles, mumps, ruebella.

yes u can.. and run cause u need the hep a and hep b shots and u need the mmr witch is mesels mumps and rebela cause the mesels and mumps are going around so hurry and get them even know u should have had them as a kid

my 1 son has had all them shots and thay give them almost all at once. in one shot so u dont have to get poked many times. and my other son is jsut now starting to get the shots but he is 1 month old my other son is 14 months old

Or go to your local health department

Some can be combined and given on the same day and others there is a series of vacations. So you have to get them more than once.

Then pneumonia shot is usually given each year along with the flu shot.

Go to your Doctor or the health dept. (if you cannot afford a Dr.)they will be able to tell you more on/about it. I do not know if they can give them all to you at once or not. At least you could get them started ASAP!
