it is a mental illness.. i don't know what is its name in English.. but its description that you always think about un-desirable ideas.. against your own set of values (political, moral, racism, ...etc) and although you deny them you still think about them.. in this case you need to see a doctor.. sometimes it is a symptom of being a bi-polar disorder..

if you refer to depressing thoughts.. you just need to control them and stop using your imagination with guilt toward the past and with fear toward the future.. because thoughts generate your moods theme.. and then form your constant feelings toward the world at its time..

try this book: "You Can Be Happy No Matter What: Five Principles for Keeping Life in Perspective" by Wayne W. Dyer

where you can read the title of the five principles..

It really sounds like you might have some depression. It's not your fault and it's really uncomfortable! I know. It could be hormonal or due to many other factors (including your diet). If it lasts more than two weeks you should talk to a doctor about it. Try getting a little physical exercise every day and eating healthy foods. This can really help. What we put into our bodies and how we treat them can actually change us chemically. In some minor cases depression can be treated just with exercise alone.

I do. If I am just watching TV or relaxing I get all these scary things popping into my head and I can't get them to stop once they start. Then I get anxiety attacks and blammo no more relaxation for me. I go thru fazes where it is worse. Right now it is ok. I just try to stay active and busy, which is hard. Maybe go see a doctor if you can. Also there are allot of natural meds out there you just can take if you are stressing, you can go to a natural foods store and they can help you out. Bach's Rescue Remedy is good and so is something plainly called "calm" . I hope you feel better soon.

Yes. I seem to bombard myself with negative thoughts. I've seen a doctor about it - I've been told that depression could be a cause. I just know I get sick of it. Someone told me to just "quit" thinking like that (negatively so), but it's easier said than done for me.
So. You're not alone, trust me...

Honestly, I only do when I'm PMSing or if I have a bad day.

If you constantly have negative thoughts, you may have depression and should seek help.
