If you want to use one pan then you should use the temp on the back of the box, and add 10 min to the time for a bunt. Check it with a toothpick after the additional time, and if it doesn't come out clean put it back in for 5 more Mins. Repeat toothpick test every 5 Mins until it comes out of cake clean. You should not have to do toothpick test more than twice.

Hi there;

I suggest cutting the portions 9in half of the mix, making it an even portioning, then use your best judement on time, checking it's dry/wetness with the toothpick during baking. I recommend around 350, in terms of time, i just use a toothpick, when the pick comes out dry, that baby is done. Make 1/2 a btach of each and mix them together in the pan itself and it should come out beautiful. May i recommend something else, layering is beautiful. It comes out with straight"ish" lines in the cake and it looks awesome. I hope this helps.

I'd suggest you use two 8 " pans or a 13X9 pan and follow the package directions.

Use the standard 8 inch pans. Why take the chance that it won't turn out right?

Just keep checking on it and do the toothpick test. Sounds good!
