I can't figure out what my dog is. He's 2yrs 8 mo. The person who gave him up said he was a Beagle/Shar-pei, which he resembled more as a puppy (the coloring of course, but he had lots of wrinkles too) but as an adult he doesn't have any of the traits assoc. w/ either breed (Except his coloring). He stands 20in from floor to shoulder, 30in from nose to rump. He's 48lbs and mostly lean. He does not howl as beagles do; at one point we thought lab mix b/c he does the labrador lean PERFECTLY but he's scared of water. Someone once mentioned an Akita mix, I dont know what traits that breed has. He's active, has LOTS of energy, is very friendly with almost everyone but not afraid to bark at ppl invading his (or MY) space, has bad seasonal allergies, and gets along great with my cat. What the heck is he?

he appears to be a boxer mix, likely mixed with beagle.

I would probably say Rottweiler and possibly Boxer. He has the black and tan markings of a Rottie, pretty square head like brother of the breeds. The Boxer can contribute the white markings. Though he fits the look he is pretty small for either of those breeds. He may have 10 different breeds mixed in there, it's really hard to tell. But, Rotties and Boxers are pretty common dogs so I would say he's got that in there. Lab, maybe, but I don't really see it. Another thing, good Akitas run at least $1,000 and Shar-peis are almost that much so I wouldn't think many people would have a dog like that running around. :-)

What a handsome boy that dog is! I would wager a guess that if the people you got him from say that he is beagle/shar-pei, then that is what he is. His markings do suggest beagle and you can see beagle in his face, but also, his face has the looks of the shar-pei. My neighbors have had beagles for as long as I've lived here and they don't howl; also, if he was any type of a water dog, he would have webbed feet more than likely.

well i looked at your pics and like pretty much everyone else on here I would say for sure beagle & possibly boxer, but if you were told shar pei I can see that too, both boxers & shar peis have square heads & even though he has no wrinkles now shar peis outgrow a majority of their wrinkles as they become mature. Does he by any chance have a black tounge or black spots on his tounge?? Because although labs have this too, this would be a pretty good indication that he is indeed shar pei too as they like the chow chow have the black tounge. No matter what he is one thing is for sure HES A CUTIE!!! :D :D :D

She might readily be a Chihuahua combine, or maybe even a Papillon combine, lengthy-haired dachshund combine or she might also have a few variety of small spaniel in her -- or all of those and/or any other breeds. How a puppy behaves is customarily as well a sign of the breed/combine as the way it appears, so learn up at the persona features of those breeds, and evaluate snap shots (do not use colour for choosing the breed -- use frame form, ears, hair coat, measurement form and surroundings of the eyes, and so forth. They are a lot more dependable than colour). Here are a few hyperlinks to snap shots and knowledge approximately a few of the ones breeds to support you. Whatever she is, she's very lovable. :)

He's beautiful...from the picture I'd say yes to some sort of hound, perhaps beagle and perhaps crossed with red aussie. He's the wrong color to be a lab. Ear placement is hound. Tail shape and length looks hound, like beagle...marking more like aussie..red aussie, coat like beagle..(hair texture), longer nose like aussie

Boxer mix. Can't really determine the other breeds, but a dog can have up to 4 father's. So the other parts are hard to know for sure, but definately see the boxer.
