Yeah, yeah. It's considered yelling, but are you gonna die for that? I mean, the guy has no idea that it's considered yelling.

Ignorance is no excuse, huh?

When I'm erading something in all caps, I don't feel being yelled at.

It's different.

Yeah big whoop... you hurt someone's feelings by typing in caps!
Shame on you.. may the fleas of a thousand camels find a home in your armpits... People are just too politically correct Even on the internet. Some people need to type in caps so they can read what they are saying for heavens sake!..
Those who would get mad at that have more serious issues.

I agree, a lot of people do not realize that typing in caps is considered yelling. Personally, I don't care how people type, spell, use grammar, etc - as long as I can get the gist of what they are trying to say.

hey if he doesn't know he is "yelling" then come on, give him a break! maybe he just thinks that all caps looks cool. If it bothers you, just POLITELY say "by the way, you are typing in all caps, did you know that is considered yelling? Just thought I'd let you know if you didn't already know." or something like that. Don't just start yelling yourself!!!

You need to study ENGLISH more. In all caps it's considered emphasizing your point of thought/speech in writing. All caps are also used to bring ATTENTION to something that was said. Yelling=all caps is a term young people use. Doesn't applt to adults.

People have been constantly telling him it's shouting, he best listen mostly. But shouldn't he have learned in grade school that typing in caps isn't accepted? But I suppose he must be wondering why. But in books, if someone is shouting, they say it in all caps. People should be able to learn from books, and if he has, why is he still doing it?

Also, maybe you won't die, but some websites with forums or message boards make it against the rules to "shout". Maybe yahoo isn't one of them, but shouldn't the same rules apply with every forum/message board?

Listen, the cultural ramifications of typing in all caps has been around for at least twelve years. I can't vouch for anything before that, but probably before that. Anyway what I'm saying is that people should know by now.

What would happen to this same guy if he didn't see a speed sign that said 25mph and a cop clocked him at 50?

If a man walks into party with a buggers dripping down his face, will it matter that he didn't realize it?

People need to be told honestly and firmly when they are doing wrong.
