The dr. may put me on it and I was worried it would cause me to gain weight, Just wondering if it ever has to anyone else?

It probably will, but if you try hard enought to keep exersizing and eating right you'll be able to keep it off.

I took zoloft when I was in High school and one of the side effects was an increased appetite. I didn't gain weight though cause I was bulimic and everything I ate I threw up. I'm all better now though. 7 years later.

ive been taking zoloft 4 over 7 yrs
it helps
U may gain a few pound but NO not all will gain weight...

I gained some weight....i just had to work harder to keep it off with more exercise. I also lost my sex drive too, make sure this is the right medication for you, maybe get a second opinion and do some research. I had to make a switch because of the side effects.

well my weight fluctuated more than anything,i did not notice a significant weight gain,there are good alternatives to Zoloft if you do gain weight,everyone is different,you may go through several types before you find which one is right for you

I was on Zoloft for over 5 years. It helped my depression and I LOST weight.

I am on Zoloft and yes i have gaind 27 pounds in 3 mounths. I have benn taking it for like 4 mounths.

I did, it made me feel weird. Spacey kinda but no I did not gain weight.
I tossed that aside and got my chronic back

Not me...but it made me feel like an emotionless zombie so I took myself off it and got over my problems on my own. You want to feel sad but you can't...it really is pretty awful.
