Really?
REALLY?
Outstanding.
That's great because I'm about to write a book in which I plan to make all sorts of outrageous claims and maybe if I lock it in my fridge for a few thousand years, by the time the pages are yellowed and aging, IT WILL ALL BE TRUE BECAUSE IT'S IN PRINT!
Hey, if you believe everything you read, I can refer you to some articles on crop circles...

Indeed they are trying to force me to believe it!
Nearly every day, some pack of fools (always in groups) knocks on my door, trying to sell me sell me some faith that someone sold them at some point.
Trickle-down spirituality...

Here's the deal:
My problem is not with Jesus
Hell, I'm sure he was a great guy... Maybe even a powerful psychic capable of some amazing things...
My issue is with programming, blind faith, dogma, unsubstantiated claims, self-fulfilling prophesies, and most escpecially the notion of decent, kind, caring humans BUUURNING IN HELL because they have a different BELIEF SYSTEM....
Why would an all-powerful god want submissive, impressional sheep for an army?

That's what's called cyclical logic. It was also once called "begging the question" although that term has now come to mean something else. And yes, it's a piss poor logical argument. Frankly, as a Christian, it really annoys me when other Christians make claims like that and make us all look stupid, especially well educated ones who should know better and high profile ones that make us look stupid in front of a staggering audience.
There ARE reasons to believe in Christianity, but "The Bible says so" isn't a good one.

F.I.Y. the bible was written by the Christian Church not by Jesus. The church decided which gospels went in and which were to be destroyed. This allowed them to make others look a Jesus the way they wanted. No doubt, Jesus was a man who inspired thousands, but the church could have made sure that all the gospels they put in made Jesus look godly not manly. A reason for this might have been to gain more parishoners. Maybe, my theory is completely wrong, but in the end, you know that the Church wrote the bible not the so call "son of god". I hope i have offended no one, because this is just a personal opinion

If anything, the Bible is a great work of literature. I read something interesting not too long ago, though. Apparently, there are some historical inaccuracies in the Bible. If I remember correctly, it's the Book of Daniel that makes mention of the Persian conquest of Babylon. It is stated in the Bible that the name of the Persian king during the time of the conquest was Darius, but in fact it was Cyrus. So much for the Bible's inerrancy!

The Bible is not only fact because it says so. If you will go back and study history and things that have taken place and then look around today and open your eyes you can see things that were told about in the Bible years ago that are happening today. Just open your eyes but first before you do this you must be a Chirstian saved by Grace because if you are not then you will not be able to see anything

The Bible is the real note, besides the very undeniable actuality that many misunderstandings and controversies have resulted from different translations from the Hebrew, Greek and Romans. What the president says he desires were real, and would have good intentions. If mom says so, it really is continually because she needs you to do something you does no longer in the different case have the records and experience to do. the web would or gained't be real, reckoning on who's writing on the internet. you need to entice close your resources. Newspapers will be quite biased. something printed on paper would or gained't be real, reckoning on what's written and through whom. All books are not any more real because maximum folk of them are fiction. regularly genuine books comprise aspects of truth. what's major to you is even if what you're saying is real.

The Bible is fairly decent literature at best. Most of it was written hundreds of years after Christ walked the earth. It's a huge leap of faith to believe everything in it is true.

look man, the new testament bible was written by people hand-picked by jesus christ himself, and they wrote it based on what they witnessed and saw.Jesus was more than a great guy, or some dumb psychic. he was the greatest person who ever lived. he not only preached the morals and values that make us who we are today and form that basis of our humanity but he died for us. history outside the bible porvides verification of that. so i strongly suggest you get your facts right before you bring some riducluous analogy trying to down the Redeemer and savior.

The Bible is true because God came to earth, established His church, appointed its leaders, told them anything they bind on earth will be bound in Heaven, promised to send His Spirit to guide the teaching authority of the church into all truth and the church told us the Bible is true. (Bible canon defined at the councils of Hippo and Carthage in the late 4th century under Pope St Siricius).
