Yes and no. Yes to the question of eating alot of veggies and stir fry really does help, as long as you don't end up drowning yourself in other fatty foods and eat these moderately. No to the question of loading up on fruits. Fruits are fattening because they contain natural sugars and carbs and so if you used to have three pears in a day, try cutting down to one and eating alot of veggies instead.

I was reading somewhere that lots of fruit has a cleansing almost fasting effect on the body, but still keeps your body digesting. They are easy for the body to break down so things like your pancreas get a breather. It was in an article called the fruit diet I found somewhere, so I assume you lose weight.

Watch what you put on the vegetables, i.e. butter, sour cream. This is where the fats are. Dress your vegetables with lemon juice.
If you eat too many fruits, you may get diarrhea.

You can eat as much as you want as long as you monitor your protein intake. If you don't get protein, you won't loose any weight.
Eating an all carrot diet will make you orange. Beware!
Since you're paying that personal trainer all that money, I think s/he needs to give you some diet advice!

It's best to stick with raw fruits and veggies, not stir fry. You may just have to start going to the gym more often, but eating raw fruits and veggies is the best. Drink lots of water too.
