disassemble it completely and use phosphorous based soap. i had a ball tap and the procedure should be the same for a prong. if you can't do that, pour soap in the tap end and run hot water through it and out the spigot.

Unscrew it and put it in some warm water with some baking soda. Let it sit for 20 minutes and then rinse off with hot water.
