like editing out large amounts of silence on my cd's, for example hidden tracks.

This is what I use, and I like it a lot.

The first link is the basic version, and it's free. With this program you can remove the hiss/noise, increase the volume, add silence or remove silence (at beginning or end), convert from one format to another, change bit-rate, etc.

all I know is you are pretty rude. If you are going to be a jerk keep your comments to yourself. You responded to a question about a vegitarian and stupidly said " God gave us these teeth for meat well actually we have teeth for grinding not ripping and tearing meat apart like a dog does.(well maybe you do) You not only made yourself look like a jerk you sounded pretty stupid all in the same comment. obviously by your points you have nothing better to do so I guess I can understand that your rude. ;)
