Yep, that seems to be the common rhetoric here. As someone else responded, they don't realize that once they become legal, they will no longer want to do those jobs, either. And, that would open up the need for a whole new wave of illegals to do the jobs that the "fat, lazy Americans" and all the "new fat, lazy legal immigrants" won't do and then they will find themselves in the situation that many Americans are in now, they can't get the unskilled types of work that they used to be able to do because the new illegals will be undercutting them. Once they are legal and are having to pay all the taxes and deductions on their paycheques that come with being "legal," they won't be able to afford to work for such low pay, just like the present Americans can't afford to work for the low pay that the present illegals will work for. When they become newly "legal," they will find themselves losing their jobs to the new "illegals" who don't have to pay taxes and other deductions on their pay and so can work for less. And the cycle goes on, and on, and on......

That's how they try to justify their crime. Gee I wonder what would happen if someone ribbed a store and used that excuse because he needed the money? No excuse justifies the crime. The reason they do these so-called jobs that nobody wants if because they employers don't pay the wages required by federal law or don't want to pay the taxes and so they give these jobs to illegals. If they offered decent wages then the unemployed Americans would do the jobs. Associated Press did a story last month about the illegals invading the US and a majority of those that are doing so have actually left decent paying jobs (by their standards) to come up here because they want more. So in other words because they are GREEDY! Nothing can justify their breaking the law to enter into our country. Nothing can justify them using fake identification and other things to assist them in further breaking our laws. They have no interest in following our laws, which is why they didn't enter the right and legal way. They are nothing more than a bunch of worthless criminals sponging off American. The sooner we get rid of them the better.

When I was growing up the people that were doing the so called JOBS that we won't do now were "teenage kids". We mowed grass in the neighborhoods, worked at the grocery stores, worked in the summer in construction and ETC... Now the adults who are coming in our country illegally are doing those jobs. They don't pay taxes and what right do they have to come to this country just because what I've heard "work hard". There are in fact I would say billions in CHINA that "Work Hard". Why don't we just Import them to work over here. Say 20 million. Our congressmen and women that have been in the congress and senate for a long time should resign because this problem with
immigration has been going on a long time and most of the leaders of our country have done nothing to stop it. They are to blame for 9-11 by allowing every Tom, Dick and Harry to come in withour being checked out. If they were doing their job then it would have been very difficult to come in and do all the damage that was done.

That argument is such BS. If you would take 5 mins to look up the actual stats you would see that they do the jobs that americans "wont do" only in areas where they are highly concentrated ie San Diego, L.A. etc... And even in those places they are only 17-30%. Who is the people doing the other 83-70% of those jobs. Im pretty sure its white, black, asian, and everyone else who is american and not illegal mexicans. And this whole other argument that they work for little is even more BS because they dont pay taxes but they sure as shyt use out public services such as welfare, medical, schools, and prisons (especially). So in all actuality they cost us more because they dont give anything back.

Once again for the slow to learn-Do you know where the food you eat comes from? If you said McDonald's or the supermarket then you need to take a ride to the Midwest. If I was depending on an avg. American high school student to supply my groceries I would probably starve to death. Would you work a 14 hour day in the hot sun for $20? I didn't think so. I know let's let prisoners do that. Strange, but even in areas with few immigrants, grass is cut, groceries are bagged and hotel sheets are changed. Indeed, a large majority of low-skilled workers are native to the United States.

Over the past two decades the number of low-skilled workers in the United States has increased because of immigration, both legal and illegal. This increase in low-skilled workers has contributed to the stagnation of wages for all such workers. The proposed "earned legalization" (amnesty) and guest worker programs would allow still more low-skilled workers into the country, further lowering their collective wages.

True, the prices of the goods and services that these new immigrants produce are reduced for the rich and poor alike. But the net effect of this dynamic is a decline in the purchasing power of low-skilled families and a rise in the purchasing power of high-income families -- a significant factor behind the increase in income inequality that should be of considerable concern.

The point is that with a decline in low-skilled foreign workers, life would go on. Throughout our nation's history, this country has found alternative ways of doing things, has been a prime engine of economic growth and change that other countries looked to as a standard to attain towards.

I speak from personal experience. The ones here just making a living here, should be allowed to stay and pay taxes.

Americans arent lazy either, who wants to work for $3 bucks an hour in terrible conditions? I dont. If someone does and they are illegal, live and let live.

I believe that you have an excellent point, but the real question is not that americans are unwilling to do this type of work, but that employers will keep wages depressed for these jobs until illegals are not available. Once this changes, wages will go up and americans will work there. Take for example mc donalds. In our area the average starting wage is $8-$10 hr. Twenty years ago, it was always minimum ($3.35 hr). So employers will boost wages until they find someone to take the job.

Even if it was true that Americans won't do the menial jobs, which it isn't, it is not our fault that illegals have underdeveloped brains that won't allow them to do jobs that require an IQ above 50. Thank you very much.
