I travel frequently between England and the USA and find that www.cheaptickets.com is one of the best websites around.

I actually had a member of check in staff tell me that I had gotten my tickets (from cheaptickets.com) for cheaper than she could get it with her discount.

The site is easy to use and searches for the best flight for you from a range of companies.

Hope this helps

It depends on where you are going. I always use Southwest Airlines, AllegiantAir, or WorryFreeVacations. They have package deals for airfare and hotels if you want to use that benefit. I have also found Northwest Airlines to be cheaper than going through Expedia. Everytime I have called a travel agent for a price quote, I have been able to get it cheaper directly through the airlines or one of the sites I mentioned above.

I usually search for available flights on orbits, then I call the airline of the ticket i want and i get it at the same price, sans the booking fee!! Smart huh? oh and the best deals are on tuesdays and wednesdays. U dont have to leave on those days of the week, thats just when discounted tickets are posted

go directly to each airlines' websites...you can price stuff easily that way. Also...many airlines don't participate in Orbitz etc...so you may find some as cheap or even cheaper than orbitz etc.

Call a travel Agent. They have better connections.
Internet sites only have ADVERTISED fares, Travel AGents can get the special deals which are unadvertised.

Travel Agenst don't cost you a dime. They get paid (in a way) by the Airlines.

CALL A LOCAL TRAVEL AGENT.
THEY HAVE ACCESS TO ALL OF THE CHEAP FARES.
MORE THAN ONE WEB SITE.
