When we visit Chicago we always have to go to Portillo's one day and then a Chicago pizza place the 2nd day. We have had Lou Malnatti's and Gino's East Chicago style pizza. They are both excellent pizzas. I had Giordanno's thin crust and it was excellent too. We love pizza so besides Portillo's we stick with that. Many of the small mom and pop places that serve Chicago dogs, italian beef, combo's, etc are even better than Portillo's.

I like Gibsons, and Ditka's. If you want something a little more moderate in price Miller's Pub over on Wabash is real good. And for Pizza you gotta check out Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinder Co. on North Clark, not talked about that much, but trust me the place is TOP NOTCH. http://www.chicagopizzaandovengrinder.com/
