Shouldn't be driving and eating sugary donuts, you'll send yourself into diabetic shock and run over some fat younger donut-eater who's too slow to get outta the way.

Perhaps they don't want to have to wait while seniors show ID at the drive-thru.
Actually, I suspect that they are hoping that they'll have to give fewer discounts, because people will find it inconvenient to walk in so they'll just forfeit their discount by going through the drive-thru. The store makes more money that way.

doughnut drivethrough is a bad idea unless you don't care about anything but stuffing your face...i.e. the people you will run over because you dropped your doughnut, the sticky crap all over you and the car, etc

that's a little bit silly because a lot of seniors cannot walk very well, and they are making them walk to go inside.
