Fasting means going without food. It is NOT a good, healthy way to lose weight. You will be telling your body that you can't get enough food and it(your body) will start storing fat to make it through. Your body will also start to cannibalize itself in order to make sure that your vital organs get enough. You will also get really bad headaches.
Eat balanced, healthy meals and exercise. If you are still worried about the best way to lose weight, talk to your doctor or a nutritionist.

Madison S is spot on. As well as your body storing fat, (basically your body doesn't know where the next meals coming from) you will probably 'pig out' to celebrate how well you've done. This, of course will add more calories.
If you were to continue to fast for an extensive period, your body would then start to use those reserves of stored fat. This is highly dangerous and could cause organs such as liver and kidneys to break down as well as creating blood disorders.
So stick with Madison S !!

Agree with Madison... Fasting won't help you lose weight at all - it means basically not eating for a period of time. Your body's metabolism will go into panic mode and store fat all the faster; you're better off cutting calories, watching what you eat, and exercising more

Fasting is NOT a diet. It can cause you more health problems.
Consult a doctor about dieting, only a doctor can give you advice because they know your body and your health concerns. They can recommend a diet that suits you best.,than you can go and research a diet on books according to what your physician says.

Fasting is a spiritual practice and sometimes done for internal cleansing (like spring cleaning for your intestines and digestive system). It is really a terrible way to lose weight.
