she has started this when i got out of skool 4 summer vaka? she is sleeping up there right now

No, cats just like to climb things. if you dont like it being up there buy a cheap cat cradle thing. it's made from carpet material so they can sharpen their claws and since cats like to climb they're high off the ground. They really like those things.

I had a cat that thought he lived on top of the refigerator. Heat rises, so I don't think it's because it's cooler, I think it's just more of a safety thing. He's someplace he knows no one can get him and he can sleep in peace. Do you have any other animals that might bother him when he tries to sleep? I know my Tyler ruled his kingdom from the top of the frig, I think he liked the advantage he had over the other cats when he was up there.

Yes :) It might also be the warmest spot in the house: the warm air from the kitchen rises and stays at the top. She can now curl up into a fur-ball and fall asleep comfortably.
There's also another reason: This way you won't step on her in anyway, it's a little hide-out spot for her, and plus to this she'll get a little bit of extra attention from everyone :)

Heat rises so it would not be cooler up there for her.
Most cats enjoy a high spot to sit or sleep in to keep an eye on their surroundings. If they are not up high to see they then normally prefer a dark area, closet, cave, etc to sleep in.
She is just being a good watch cat and keeping an eye on her surroundings.

No heat rises it would be cooler on the ground she likes it because kiddie cats like high places it is in their nature because if they are up in the air like in a tree or up on the cabinets they feel safer a dog or other predator cant get to them.

Cats like to perch. The higher the better. It might be cooler up there if you have an air conditioning vent on your cieling. But it's a normal cat thing. :D

I thougt the higher the cooler! But anyways it may be that your cat loves hi places! Most cats do! My cat loves to be up hi! he gets in and on the cabinets too. So nothing to worry about! Just make sure she dosnt fall.

cats will put them self's where they can see what is going on in a room that is just how they are, it is OK for them to do so as long as you don't have an issue with the cat climbing on the counters to get up there, if you want to break him of it you can buy double sided sticky tape to put on your counter it will deter the cat once he jumps on the tape he will jump back down cats hate to have anything on there paws it will feel strange and he will stop.

No, heat rises so it's actually hotter up there. o-o;; Some breeds of cats just like being higher than people and looking down on them. My cat did that before I moved, too.

She probably likes the refrigerator because it is high up and gives her a great view! My cats used to do this as well...
