Get an old teeshirt or towel or something clean you don't use anymore. Cut it up into 1 inch by 4 inch strips. Make sure your hair is damp. Take 1 inch sections of your hair and start at the tip. Roll your hair into the cloth until you hit the root, then gently tie the ends of the cloth together to hold the hair up. when you get all of your hair done you can go to bed and take it out in the morning and finger through the waves to style it. They're called Rag Curls and Marilyn Monroe did it all the time.
OR
Damp hair again, take 1 inch sections of your hair, wrap it around your finger to the root. Push it off of your finger so you have a "circle" against your scalp then bobypin it to your scalp. Same thing, air dry or blow dry. Pincurls are much harder to do, these were popular in the 20s. Its hard to get the back of your head.
Both work equilaly well and do very little damage to your hair.
Good luck!

Yes!! At night, take a shower, and then braid your hair wet. Do a LOT of little tight braids. Then sleep on it with the braids in. The next day, take the braids out and you will have wavy hair. Use mousse and scrunch the hair, and then spray it, that way it will stay in the whole day! It looks great and I get a ton of compliments! =)
If you absolutely love the curls, get your hair permed and on the days you want it straightened, just use a flat iron! Your hair sounds pretty, so this will work well.

I use to do this alot when I had long hair too. Now it's short, longer than shoulders by less than an inch.
After you shower or wet your hair. Apply a soft mouse like Finesse...split hair in half or fours. twist one side in clockwise and spin the twist into a bun, you can use a claw to hold in place and do the other side counterclockwise so that the curls are either around your face or away from the face. Sleep on it or wait for it to dry. Release the claw and tada! Magic curls. It's not perfect curls or actual ringlets. It'll give you the effect of wavy. Add more mouse to hold in the waves and thrown on a cute outfit. You're on your way!

You can braid it while wet and leave it in overnight. Also, there are several products on the market that can be applied to wet hair. Scrunch it and let it dry. Look in your local shampoo and hair care aisle for a variety of products. Stay away from those containing alcohol as they only dry out the hair.

well i have natrally wavy hair but these tips might work for you:
first of all i use a wide toothed comb on my hair right out of the shower.
then i use this product called surf waves or something by garniea nutrise. it comes in a small green tub.
work it into your hair and put your hair into two buns on the top of my head and go to sleep. in the morning perfect waves!put some hair spray on them and don't brush them.

Try to braid your hair loosely at night. Wet it a little as well. When you wake up take out the braid and finger through your hair, don't brush it because it could get frizzy... Good Luck

Braid your hair the night before. Take it out the next morning. It'll be nice and wavy.

Wait till your hair grows past your shoulders, then braid your hair into one tight braid, finally, mix hair gel with water, put it on your hair, and wait till it drys. Voila! Wavy hair!
