Yes, because everyone who works in this country pays for the services run by the government through taxes whether they use the resources or not. Illegal aliens drive on our roads, dial 911 for emergency services, use our courts, receive social security, receive welfare and medical care, reside in our prisons. depend on our government to fight for their rights and the list goes on and on. These services aren't for free. Taxes are raised to pay for it. If we have to pay for these services why shouldn't they have to?

If that where the case, most of the illegal aliens sending all those billions of dollars each year, would live affluent life-styles in their country of origin, yet they don't.
Why don't they just tax all those rich f---s that have billions of dollars hidden in off shore accounts and don't pay US taxes, but pay it to a foreign government. Ever think of that?!!!!
This subject is a little to complex to answer in just one answer.

Yes, I think we should! It seems that a lot of people answering are making the assumption that illegals actually pay taxes in the first place. Most of them DON'T. They should be required to file and pay their taxes just like citizens do. If they want to come here and take jobs from citizens then they should pay taxes on the money they earn. Not to mention needing to speak English since that is our language. I also disagree with the "born here" policy. That's is just absolute crap! Just because a child is born here they shouldn't become an automatic citizen if neither one of his/her parents are a citizen.

For those employed legitimately they already take taxes. For those who are working under the table, they are creating multiple problems but they should be taxed at the employer level. This would require enforcement of current laws concerning hiring illegals. Then if they choose to ignore this law they should be fined heavily, and jailed if they refuse to comply with the law. For those mowing lawns and doing day labor, leave them be. They are the only ones that provide private citizens any services.

Yes! Not only should they be taxed but the tax levied should be an inflated one. I understand that some (if not all) of these earnings have been taxed already, but to put our dollars on ANY foriegn soil (including all offshore accounts) there should be a mandatory 25% tax which should be used to support educational funding.

Of course... it would make it less desireable to come here and Western Union it all back. Maybe it would help cover the health care and school costs. We need to look at the "born here" policy too. Think about it.... they can come here, get free health care, free schooling, drive around with no insurance... hmmm... have a kid and apply to stay here "for the child's benefit" since the child is now a US citizen. Am I missing something here!!??
Then we can use the money we collect from them to deport them!! Dang I should run for office.

Absolutely not... they have already paid tax on that money once... that would be the same thing as trying to tax EBay!! These guys work their asses off, most of them have at least 2 jobs, all to support their family members at home who can't even afford to buy bread.

Yes, I'm all for that. How it could be done, I don't know. I think they mostly use places like Money Mart and some maybe even actually have bank accounts and use bank transfers to send money to accounts at home. I imagine it could be done, though. I think that would be a fair thing to do.
