what's the best way of losing weight w/out leaving your house?

A FEW THINGS TO REMEMBER:
The correct way to burn fat and stay healthy is to burn more calories than you consume
You need to make sure you are eating healthy foods while still excercising
If you have a big appetite drink plenty of water so that you will feel full but not consume calories
But you should always eat
If you start to skip meals you will only be more hungry at your next meal and probably eat way too much
Remember, the average persons stomach is as big as a slice of pizza scrunched up into a ball
So you shouldnt be putting more food into your stomach than what fits
Also, it takes aproximately 15-20 minutes for your brain to realize that you are full
so eat slower and you will realize sooner when you are not hungry anymore

How to get Started:Decide how much you want to loose and see how many calories a day it will take to make it happen by year's end.Then, work into your routines however many of these eating tweaks and exercises you need to achieve your goal.
Slash 250 cal.s a day to lose about 25 lbs. in a year, Slash 500 cal.s to loose 50 pounds.
This is based on a 150-pound person: you may need to cut more/ fewer calories depending on ur weight, age & gender. It also assumes your normal calorie intake essentially stays the same and your weight is stable.

2. Balance Booster - While u brush ur teeth, alternate standing on 1 leg as u switch mouth quadrants(every 30 seconds). BURNS 10
3.Be a Ballerina - As ur coffee drips, stand sideways, put 1 hand on the counter, and lift the outside leg straigh out in front of u, keeping it extended. With upper body straight, hold for a few sec.s and move it to the side: hold and extend it behind u. Do 5x on each leg. BURNS 10
4. Talk It UP - Every time u grab the phone, stand up & pace around. BURNS 50
5. Carry Some Weight - When ur grocery Shopping/ running erands, wear a backpack with 5-10 lbs bag of sugar inside to increase resistance & burn more calories. Add purchases to ur load as it becomes easier. BURNS 20 (FOR AN HOUR OF ERRANDS)
6.Pump at the Pump - While ur getting gas, With 1 hand on ur car, Stand on the balls of ur feet & slowly rise up & down for as long as it takes to fill ur tank. BURNS 10
7. Shop till the Pounds Drop - at the mall try on at least 10 outfits- pants and shirts.BURNS 60
8. Jog for Junk Mail - For every piece of junk mail u get each day, do 1 lap around ur house/ building, / up & down a flight of stairs. BURNS 35-140
9. Play Footsie - After Dinner, while u are sitting at the table, extend your right leg out & slowly bend it up & down, squeezing & holding in the up position for at least 5 sec.s. Repeat 5x for each leg. BURNS 10
10.Ease into Evening - sitting with feet uncrossed, grab ur wrists & raise ur hands above ur head to lengthen the spine. Take a deep breath in as u reach & hold the position, breathing slowly in & out for 20 sec.s, taking longer on the exhale. BURNS 5
11. Sing a Song - Spend sunday morning belting it out in the church choir. BURNS 70 PER SERVICE
12. Catch This! -
Spend 30 min tossing a ball or a frisbee with ur kid/dog BURNS 90
13. Make Whoopee - Instead of a bowl of ice cream as a bedtime snack, have a robust tussle with your spouse. BURNS 300

I am getting ready to start the Lean for Life program from Lindora. It is a safe and rapid weight loss program. You can do it just by using the book or you can go in to one of their offices. I believe that it is very expensive though. (the office visits, not the book) I am also starting the Turbo Jam series for excercising (inside) and walking.

If you can't stick to diets. Just cut down your food. Only use a small plate instead of a large one (don't pile it up) You will be surprised at how little you can eat and still be satisfied pysically. With doing just that and walking, I lost 23 pounds. I hit a platue so now I am going to do the Lindora thing. I need to lose weight (about 60 pnds) for health reasons (diabetic) and because I am gong through breast reconstruction from cancer so I need to lose as soon as I can for the best outcome for my surgery. That is why I am doing the Lindora program. Otherwise I would just keep up with the other stuff I mentioned.

Anyway, hope you do well. If all other diets fail... I lost 45 pounds years ago using this...eat when you are hungry, stop when you are full. Amazing how that works! God created us to be able to burn off what we eat. The problem is, we eat to much and our bodies can't operate that way they are supposed to!

( I stopped smoking after and unfortunately gained it back...argh)

easy and simple, do some exercise each day and take weight loss capsules, safe and efficient.

There are a lot of exercise programs on TV. Instead of being a couch potato, turn these on and participate. Eat right and drink plenty of water. Why not leave your house? Go out and walk, it's free and the fresh air will help.

are you agoraphobic or an extremely large person who is afraid of other people reactions? at any rate, you should invest in some aerobic exercise tapes such as sweating to the oldies, by richard simmons, and sit in a chair and mimic the arm and leg movements that they do. drink a lot of green tea, red tea, black tea and water but don't forget to drink some orange juice, grape juice, etc. you should be eating a diet high in fiber to include high fiber cereals(oatmeal, shredded wheat, cheerios),low fat popcorn, triscuits/wheat thins(multi grain), a rainbow of fruits, vegies, and berries, lean protein such as fish and chicken, peanut butter, boiled eggs. you need to make a lifestyle change. maybe you should visit a nutritionist to help you get started. good luck.

Eat in moderation, exercise, try a variety of foods, drink plenty of water, avoid consuming more than the recommended amount of sweets and fats, avoid tobacco and alcohol. General rule: If you burn fewer calories than you consume, you will gain weight. If you burn the same amount of calories as you consume, you will maintain your weight. If you burn more calories than you consume, you will lose weight.

Quit drinking pop/soda and drink only water!! I lost a lot of weight like that.

Stop eating start exercising.

Most people who stay indoors have a hard time keeping physically busy, and have a hard time burning extra calories. Avoiding those extra calories is sure to help, too.

my wife lost weight by eating nothing but cereal, essentially. cereal is very low in fat, and she was able to lose weight eating it and doing not much else.

a mediterranean diet not only comes with heart benefits studies show it leads to more weight loss than low fat diets
