I think not, but i want to see what you all think, if the cold was cured we would lose something human, and for that matter I dont think chicken pocks need to have cure, I think humans need these diseases, get rid of all the other ones, leave these for use. Not only does it helps the immune system, but it build charater, without them you would not have an excuse to miss work, and school, so should these cured? although one is already cured with the new vacination, but should parents get there kids this vacination?

lots and lots of water to drink and fresh lemon (fresh citrus fruit) is 100 times better than an vaccination. I personally HATE the vaccinations as one does not know long term effect and in the end it is like poison.

Cold/flu changes all the time, and yes, I totally agree with you, the body gets stronger every times it gets it.. more and more antibodies are being created.. when you get a vaccination automatically it is very unnatural..and what if you get different 'virus' to the one you get and they both combine...

Besides, I hear it hurts liver. Question is: do people wake up and do the old fashion way .. or use the 'unhealthy' products and make some businessmen very rich?? 20,200,000 sites on flu vacination?? only in english?? WOW!!!

Or did you ever thought that maybe some flu’s are made deliberate so that people can make ALOT of money selling vaccinations?

Yes, we need to have 'bacterias' as they help us to find other..

READ THIS BELOW:

Brief Overview:
Flu Deaths are only a small percentage of the frequently stated 36,000 deaths per year associated with the flu. The 36,000 is a combined figure for both flu and pneumonia. Flu deaths alone are typically 1 to 4 % of the combined total of 36,000.
There are an estimated average of 1250 deaths associated with the flu each year in the USA [1250/36,000= 3.5%].
There is long term, large population evidence that the flu vaccine does NOT save lives in those over 65. Graphs

The flu vaccine is NOT effective in any age group at preventing the flu.

It is never safe to inject decaying matter mixed with poisons into the human body. See the adverse effects section.

Deaths from flu and pneumonia declined by about 90 percent of the year 1900 rates before the widespread use of flu vaccine. This demonstrates with certainly that the major preventive of flu deaths (and flu incidence) is sanitation and nutrition. The fact that no further declines have occured in the death rate for combined flu and pneumonia deaths tells us that the ONLY preventive for flu deaths and flu incidence is the lifestyle elements which make a healthy life. Further improvements to health as regards the flu will have to come by renewed efforts regarding sanitation and nutrition. This is especially true for the area of nutrition as the real cause of the flu is the body's need to eliminate the by-products of difficult to digest foods or food combinations. The severity of flu is similar to all other 'contageous' diseases in that the amount of toxic material in the body and the amount of available nutritional support elements (I.E. Vitamin C) are the main items which determine severity or success of the cleansing process which we call the 'symptoms of the flu.'

FLU Vaccine Ingredients depend upon the manufacturer
FluVirin, FluShield, FluZone, FluMist, Etc, Etc.

All are made using egg or chicken protein
Influenza viruses (most! are inactivated)
Neomycin, polymyxin, gentamycin - antibiotics
Thimerosal [mercury] - a harmful preservative
Betapropiolactone - a disinfectant
Nonoxynol - used to kill or stop growth of STDs
Octoxinol 9 - a vaginal spermicide
Formaldehyde - embalming fluid used to kill viruses

Ingredient and associated risk list for the Fluzone vaccine:

Chick Embryo - this can be problematic for those allergic to eggs or egg products

Formaldehyde - (Embalming Fluid) Formaldehyde has been classified as a human carcinogen (cancer-causing substance) by the International Agency for Research on Cancer and as a probable human carcinogen by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency). Research studies of workers exposed to formaldehyde have suggested an association between formaldehyde exposure and cancers of the nasal sinuses, nasopharynx, and brain, and possibly leukemia

Octoxinol-9 - This is a spermacide (kills sperm) Chills; confusion; dizziness; fever; lightheadedness; muscle aches; sunburn-like skin rash that is followed by peeling of the skin

Triton X-100 - Harmful if swallowed. Causes severe eye irritation. May be harmful if inhaled or in contact with skin. Toxicology not fully investigated. The product may contain traces of ethylene oxide or dioxane, which are probable human carcinogens.

Gelatin- Made from the boiled bones, skins and tendons of animals.

Thimerisol (mercury derivative) - Several cases of acute mercury poisoning from thimerosal-containing products were found in the medical literature with total doses of thimerosal ranging from approximately 3 mg/kg (Your vaccine contains 25 ug per 5mL dose) to several hundred mg/kg These studies reported local necrosis, acute hemolysis, disseminated intravascular coagulation, acute renal tubular necrosis, and central nervous system injury including obtundation, coma, and death

Sodium Phosphate - Phosphates are slowly and incompletely absorbed when ingested, and seldom result in systemic effects. Such effects, however, have occurred Symptoms may include vomiting, lethargy, diarrhea, blood chemistry effects, heart disturbances and central nervous system effects. The toxicity of phosphates is because of their ability to sequester calcium. Irritant due to its acidic nature. May cause inflammation and pain on prolonged contact, especially with moist skin. May sequester calcium and cause calcium phosphate deposits in the kidneys.

Sodium Chloride(Salt) - Very large doses can cause vomiting, diarrhea, and prostration. Dehydration and congestion occur in most internal organs. Hypertonic salt solutions can produce violent inflammatory reactions in the gastrointestinal tract. May irritate damaged skin; absorption can occur with effects similar to those via ingestion.

THE COLD, OR ANY VIRUS BASED ILLNESS, CANNOT BE CURED! All you can do is boost the immune response. That said....

The cold and the chicken pox are very diffrent. Chicken pox is actually a form of Herpes, called Varicella-Zoster. Furthermore, at this point, we cannot cure a virus based illness. Thats why everyone says cure the common cold, because if you can do that, you've opened the door to every virus. It's just not possible right now, and may never be. If we could, I really don't know. We need the population check, and we are dangerously overpopulated as it is, but to save millions of lives.... that would be something incredible, something I know I could never turn down. The problem is, if you eliminate something benign, you open the door to something really nasty, and could actually hurt more people than you help.

For some strange reason, the common cold cannot be cured. It can be shortened, or less severe, if one is in the habit of taking a lot of Vitamin C.

It can also be shortened if people can stay in bed, drink tea and ginger ale, juice, etc. - but in today's busy world, people can't afford to stay off from work or school (a shame - because by going, they are only passing it to others).

Chicken pox did need a vaccination - because in some cases (though not many) people died from them. I also believe that adult men can get sterile (either from them or measles - something like that).

It is hard to tell the difference, sometimes, between a cold and the flu or a virus. We are never sure if we need to go to the doctor and get antibiotics (or if we'd be wasting a trip - because we wouldn't get any if it turned out to be only a cold).

Believe it or not, every winter in Arizona - I have been sick for up to two months (that never happened all the years I lived in New York - which has much colder and damper winters).

Cold remedies: What works If you catch a cold, you can expect to be sick for about a week. But that doesn't mean you have to be miserable. These remedies may help: * Water and other fluids. You can't flush a cold out of your system, but drinking plenty of liquids can help. Water, juice, clear broth or warm lemon water with honey helps loosen congestion and prevents dehydration. Avoid alcohol, coffee and caffeinated sodas, which make dehydration worse. * Salt water. A saltwater gargle — 1/2 teaspoon salt dissolved in an 8-ounce glass of warm water — can temporarily relieve a sore or scratchy throat. * Saline nasal sprays. Over-the-counter saline nasal sprays combat stuffiness and congestion. Unlike nasal decongestants, saline sprays don't lead to a rebound effect — a worsening of symptoms when the medication is discontinued — and most are safe and nonirritating, even for children. * Chicken soup. Generations of parents have spooned chicken soup into their sick children. Now scientists have put chicken soup to the test, discovering that it does have effects that might help relieve cold and flu symptoms in two ways. First, it acts as an anti-inflammatory by inhibiting the movement of neutrophils — immune system cells that participate in the body's inflammatory response. Second, it temporarily speeds up the movement of mucus through the nose, helping relieve congestion and limiting the amount of time viruses are in contact with the nose lining. So which is better, homemade or canned? Researchers at the University of Nebraska compared homemade chicken soup with canned versions and found that many, though not all, canned chicken soups worked just as well as soups made from scratch. *Over-the-counter cold medications. Nonprescription decongestants and pain relievers offer some symptom relief, but they won't prevent a cold or shorten its duration, and most have some side effects. If used for more than a few days, they can actually make symptoms worse. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recommends that parents avoid such cold medicines for children younger than age 2. And they are evaluating the safety of these medications in older children. Keep in mind that acetaminophen (Tylenol, others) can cause serious liver damage or liver failure if taken in high doses. It's common for people to take Tylenol in addition to flu medications that also contain acetaminophen, which can lead to drug overdoses. Read the labels of any cold medication carefully to make sure you're not overdosing. * Humidity. Cold viruses thrive in dry conditions — another reason why colds are more common in winter. Dry air also dries the mucous membranes, causing a stuffy nose and scratchy throat. A humidifier can add moisture to your home, but it can also add mold, fungi and bacteria if not cleaned properly. Change the water in your humidifier daily, and clean the unit at least once every three days.

I dont think that parents should get their kids vaccinated. the only thing it will do is weaken their immune system, making their antibodies nearly useless and it will also create a dependancy to the drugs. For example, if you always go to the doctor when u have a cold and he always prescribes you an antibiotic, your body will not be able to combat the infection on its own, you will always need antibiotics and more of it every time. Kinda like a junkie needs more and more dope to get high because his body is so use to it.

I agree if your with you to some extent. Its like if your immune system didn't have any small time boxing partners. It would be knocked out by any major contenders flu, cancer etc. Now the missing work or school part I can live without. Being sick tends to make you appreciate life more when your well.

I think that diseases caused by virus could not be cured? This is what I heard, correct me if I am wrong: that once we caught virus, they never be totally eradicate from our body but what happen is our immune system overcome them. But when our immune system weaken those viruses going back to take charge of our body.
I am not sure what I heard is right though, it does not sound logical.

I think that none should be cured unless thee is real suffering or risk to life or limb, we are treading a dangerous path by getting rid of relatively harmless illnesses, our immune system is underworked and unsure of what does constitute danger to our systems, showing up as more and more allergies, and it won't be strong or effecient when we do need it...

No. I feel like fighting the cold makes our body stronger. It's like the cold keeps your immune system in shape, just in case something bigger and more terminal comes along.

i dont think the cold can truly be cured... there are many different viruses each year that cause different "common colds." our bodies become immune to each but new breeds of viruses are always being created. there can be no definite cure.

Considering that the the common cold is not deadly and other things like AIDS are.I would say not so docters could focus more on more important and more serious diseases!
