Most cats live around 12-15 years. You can prolong your cat's life by having them fixed and keeping them indoors.

My cat Ernest was an outdoor cat and he lived to be 23. That was pretty old for a cat, and 30 or late 20's is an extreme (sort of like a 100 yr old person, that kind of rarity), but generally a cat will live between 15 and 23ish years of age. You can expect to have him a good long time, especially if he is active and playful as you say. Just make sure no accidents happen... and watch when backing up your car.

Indoor cats live longer. Possibly over 20 years. My one cat lived to be 22. The one I still have is 18. Outdoor cats typically do not live nearly as long

It differs for indoor and outside or both. I truly have a indoor cat that's 14 years previous and nonetheless lively. Indoor cats an stay everywhere from 11-18+ years! outside cats often stay 4-7 years. Indoor/outside cats 8-11+ It also relies upon on the burden help application and prevalent health.

I've heard 14 or 15, but I think if it's kept healthy and happy it can live for much longer. I had a cat that died at 19, she lived indoors and out, but I really don't know for sure. I think it depends on the animal's love of life, and its health.

Indoor cats frequently live to 18-20, although there have been some who make it to 30+. Outdoor cats might make it to 12.
