Because it doesn't have lactose, which is a type of sugar. Bacteria like sugar and will grow faster in it. Since lactose-free milk has less sugar, there's less for the bacteria to feed on, which means less bacteria and milk that will stay a bit fresher than regular.

I don't know exactly... Perhaps it has more "chemicals" ?
I'm lactose intolerant as well and I DESPISE Lactose-Free milk. It tastes like ace!!!
I've learned to take Lactaid-Fast Act before milk or ice cream and have found that vanilla soy milk works well with my favorite cereals... Fruity Pebbles and Frosted Flakes...

I don't know, but I'm lactose intolerant, and I sure do love lactose milk a lot more than regular milk! ^_^
