I have a 2 yr old pomeranian and she piddles on the carpet when we are sleeping. She tends to gorge herself with water at night as if she'll never drink again. By the time we wake up in the morning there is a new DRY stain on my carpet. I've started to put her water up in the evening to limit her water drinking at night. Now we will be bringing home a 4 month old puppy soon and i don't want him to smell her urine and think that he should pee there too. I've shampooed my carpet and used Bissel pet odor and stain remover but it doesn't quite seem to get it completely out.

Pour this stuff called approach right on the stain. It will help get rid of the stain, but more importantly it will completely eliminate the odor (which is what triggers the dogs to pee there).

We had the exact same problem with our dog Sophie when we were housebreaking her. Pour the stuff on the stain, pour it on your carpet cleaners and spray the air to get rid of the odor in the air.

there are no harsh chemicals (or any chemicals in fact) so if the dogs sniff it or lick the spot it wont' hurt them at all.

Worked on my dog like a charm. Should be easy to use.

Good luck!

When I first got my dog, someone recommended a product called Simple Solution to me. It works great. It really helps with removing stains and best of all, it gets rid of the odor. Your dog won't even remember that she peed on the carpet! You can find this product at PetSmart or online. You'll have to check with local pet stores since not everyone carries all products. You can buy it in the spray bottle, but make sure to also buy the large refill bottle so that you don't run out, since it sounds like you might use it alot! However, you might want to get to the root of your dog's peeing problem, because your new puppy might still pick up on your current dog's bad habit.

Good luck!

Ether call stanley steamer or just keep using the Bissel, use TONS of Woolite OxyDeep 2X Pet Oxygen Activated Stain Remover and Woolite Pet Stain & Odor Remover + Oxygen. If it still smells, use Febreze Pet Odor Eliminator.

My dog just peed on my bed two nights ago. This is a rare thing but I didn't find it until it was almost dry. I wiped the mattress with a damp towel then... here's the helpful part... I poured baking soda all over the matress.

By the next day, there was absolutely no smell. Try this with your carpet.

By the way, why does your dog pee indoors? Have you trained her to pee outside at night? My babies use the doogy door when they need to go in the middle of the night.

There is a pet carpet wash called Natures Miracle. It has enzymes that neutralize pet pee odors. It also works well for other stains. Plus, to help your dog not pee at night you can place him in a small Kennel. It will keep him from peeing, dogs will not go where they sleep. you can buy it at any pet supply store.

sprinkle baking soda on the floor before you vaccum, vaccum floor, then spray ladies douche with a spray bottle on the carpet. The douche has a vinegar content that's good for getting smells and odors. My cat decided he would pee on the couch when he was in heat one time and I used that method. In a few days, the smell will go away.

Oxiclean works wonders,
You can make your own cleaner by mixing 1 bottle of household hydrogen peroxide, with 2 tablespoons of baking sodaa, and 1/2 teaspoon of dawn dis soap.
Don't mix in metal container , and don't put a lid on it. Using it right away, while foamy works the best.

I like woolite pet stain/smell remover. Works well smells pleasant and is inexpensive. If that doesn't do it, mix white vinegar and water in a spray bottle, spritz and use a rag to blot as opposed to rubbing in.

A light vinegar solution works well too, But have you ever thought of kenneling your dog at night? As a room they usually do not use their den as a bathroom.
