Why should there be a "view" on gay people any more than people from Peoria? People are people.

My view on homosexuality is an interesting one. I am christian and I do believe it is wrong. However, I also believe that it is a sin weighed equally in the sight of God. So those that are lying, or someone who is a theif or murderer is the same.

Gay people I look at no different than anyone else. People are people and i have no problem with anyone.

But I do not understand the Hate and bigotry that follows those that are homosexual...

i had to comment on this tho by colorist
"I honestly think that it's possible that gays are so lacking in self esteem that they don't think they are worthy of love from the opposite sex."

that isn't the case... i kno i can be loved from a man and there is NOTHIN lacking in my self esteem.....it is a matter of attraction not self esteem.

This is really an open-ended question - do you mean views on gay people in terms of are they "different", "weird"?, or do you mean are they born gay or is it a choice? I can give you both answers because my brother is gay, and I think I knew it before he did. I started asking him if he was gay when I was 10 and he was 12 - I firmly believe people are born whatever sexuality they are - do you think you were born hetero or was it a choice? Well, it is the same thing. And as my Dad once said to me, you can't possibly know for sure, no matter how they act, unless you are in bed with them.

I don't think there's anything wrong with gay people. I think they have just as much right to do things that a heterosexual couple does in public and we don't have the right to say a damn thing about it. You know, people want separation of church and state, then why would bring your religion into a decision of whether or not gay people can get married and recognizing it. We shouldn't force our religious beliefs upon someone else

What do you mean by Gay? Are you talking about people of the same sex liking each other, loving each other,or having sex with each other? I'm a follower of Jesus Christ. I have nothing against the like or love. The problem has always been with the same sex having sexual relations with each other. Just like adultery, sex out of marriage, murder, hitting little Joey in the nose, they are all sins. It's a shame that this issue has been clouded. Sex out side of marriage is not approved by God the Father. Since same sexes cannot become one. God created Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. So what is my view? I hope that we all come to the full knowledge of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice for our sins. I am no better than they, maybe have even been worse, but the blood of Christ cleanses me, for I have obeyed the Word of God and called upon Him fo salvation. He takes care of the rest!!

Dear spike,

The Bible speaks of homosexuals as "sodomites". The Bible tells us in Genesis 19 that God rained fire and brimstone on Sodom and Gomorrah and destroyed all the wicked that were there (there were actually 4 cities that were destroyed when God poured out His judgment but I cannot remember the name of the other 2 cities). Only 3 people escaped this great judgement and that included Lott and his two virgin daughters). In Romans chpt 1 the Lord gives a list of many of the sins that are apparent in the world today and included in this list is sodomy and lesbianism! All sin is rebellion against God and will result in eternal damnation-hell. The only way to escape the wrath of God is to find someone that can pay your sin debt for you ie. go to hell for you. The only One who can pay the penalty and come out at the other end is the Lord Jesus Christ. He is the God-Man and the only One who can endure the awful wrath of God and come out again. God is no respecter of persons, so you may be chosen to be saved, no matter how sinful you have been. Read you r Bible and pray the Lord for mercy. In Romans 10:17 the Bible says, "So then, faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God." "Faith" is a synonym for Jesus Christ because He is the only One who is Faithful and True. So Christ cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. If God is going to save you it will be in the environment of hearing the word of God (Bible). For more info see: www.familyradio.com. I hope this helps.

I do not look down on them its their way of life. I think its wrong tho. My sister is gay but I still love her and she knows how I feel about it. I do not judge them for their life stlye. But like the bible says no man shall sleep with man or women with women. Its their actions that I do not like its not the people everyone sins in one way or another. Some of the nices people you can meet are gay, they are very open on how they think, lets just say they tell you like it is. I have more problems dealing with people that are two face. Tell you one thing then turn around and tell someone else a different story. But like I said no one is perfect.

Gay people are also human. They also have the emotion called love. They just fall in love with the same sex that they are. If u view it like that there won't be any problem with gay people.
I see them like a normal person.

i think that like everybody else, some are great people some are nasty, i don't have anything against them and i don't understand why some people hate them, they are still human beings, with feelings, everybody should be more open mind about it, specially Christians!!!! a lot of people judge them, with out looking their own lifestyle. i am not gay, but i have couple gay friend and they are very nice, so for those who are homophobic, get over it, and get a life!!!!

Gay People? Are they a new race or something? I think that whatever sexuality anyone chooses is fine as long as it makes them happy. But I also feel that by placing them into groups we are further separating people in this country.
