Sometimes people just do typos and don't notice it or they don't spellcheck it because they just assume that they spelled everything right.

Spelling skills are not a prerequesit for asking questions, although it does make them much easier to understand. Some people just don't care about such things, or believe it's the "in" or "cool" thing to type as if they had three thumbs and no fingers; typing sounds, instead of proper words. If I can't understand someone, I simply pass on answering their questions, but I can't explain why a certain individual chose to phrase or spell that way.

In some cases, it may just be from typing too fast. If they would click on "Check Spelling," then some would get corrected.
In other cases, they don't realize that they are misspelling something.
Sometimes they know it doesn't look right, but they are too impatient to look it up or don't know how.
Since this is fairly anonymous, they post it misspellings and all without the embarrassment of other places.

I often read "those" posts just to see if I can figure out what they are asking.........I guess it's like a challenge to figure it out. Other times they just annoy me. I realize the "teenyboppers" like to use their little shortcuts for words, I do that myself sometimes for a few words, but sometimes they just go too far. I also agree with some other responses you received about people who are not primary English speaking, but I feel this is a small percentage of the cases.
Thanks for allowing me to express my opinion about this topic.

Why do people like yourself ask questions in such a way that it demeans others? They are posting questions for the purpose of educating themselves. You are posting a question for the purpose of chastising someone. I respect their thirst for knowledge. I have no respect for your attitude. I would rather associate with someone with poor spelling skills than with someone who wishes to publicly demean another person. Everyone, including myself, has shortcomings of one nature or another. Let's discuss your shortcomings in public.

Some of them don't speak English as native language, others simply don't care, and probably few of them have never went to school.

No reason for it, considering there is a spell check button for them to use..go figure..just plain laziness, or maybe they don't know how "check spelling" is spelled and it throws them off

If they don't know how to spell it's safe to assume there are a lot of other things they don't know either....which is why they could benefit from a site such as this.

I agree, there are many on here who seem to have not made it through 1st grade...but just look over them, at least we shouldn't have to worry about them getting the best answer points....lol... Best wishes

P.S. the second answer is really funny though!!

I know, people are just to lazy to use the spell check, it's ridiculous!
