You lose an average of 100 hairs per day. That's just because your hair follicles rotate which ones are actively growing and which ones aren't, so new hairs have already started growing to replace the ones you're losing. Unless, of course, you're going bald, or you've fried your hair with chemical treatments to the point where it's so brittle it just breaks off. In that case, I'd recommend some serious hot oil treatments and laying off the dyes and perms.

Hair falling out is caused by a number of things. 1) not bathing enough....but seeing as you said you shower thats not the case. 2) stress....stress has a major role in a lot of things with our bodies. 3) Showering to much....if you use shampoo and conditioner everyday then it can make your hair fall out. I was always told that if you shower everyday that you should shampoo and condition every other day. On the off days then you just condition your hair. Hopefully this helps a little bit. Good luck :)

If you have curly hair, that would explain why you lose so much when you shower. Everyone loses hair every day. Straight hair falls out and hits the floor, your clothes, etc. Curly hair falls out and gets caught in your curls and pretty much stays there until you shower. Therefore when you shower, it may seem like you are losing an unusually large amount, when in actuality you aren't. If your hair is straight, disregard this answer! LOL

you lose on average 75 to 100 hairs a day....some more some less ...depends on your texture and what you do to it...do not do hot oil treatments....too much protien in your hair is bad that will make it break off also....try good conditioners for breakage ...and salon product is way better than store bought!

There are a lot of factors involved:
a. How old are you?
b. Are you under a doctors care?
c. Are you taking medicine?
d. Do ya have a condition (health wise)
See what I mean?
Basically, if you are a healthy person you can do a lot to preserve and protect your hair.
Good luck.......Andrew/FreeBird
