Yes, it's very pretty, too. At least, I've never met anyone who said anything negative about it.

"What child is this who, laid to rest, on Mary's lap is sleeping? Whom angels greet with anthems sweet, the babe, the son of Mary?
This, this is Christ, the King, whom shepherds guard and angels sing; Haste! Haste to bring him laud, the babe, the son of Mary."
(First Verse and Chorus)

Use any search engine (Yahoo, Google, whatever), type in " "What Child Is This?" lyrics " & you can get ALL the lyrics &, with some poking around, you can probably get the music for it. It's a very pretty song.

Peace!

The melody is indeed from an old English ballad. Greensleeves. It seems ironic that such a beautiful carol would be set to the tune of a song about a man's love for a prostitute. The prostitutes in Old England wore greensleeves.

I too love the carol.

There is, it happens to be one of my favorites
What child is this, who, laid to rest
On Mary's lap, is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet,
While shepherds watch are keeping?
This, this is Christ the King,
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing:
Haste, haste to bring him laud,
The Babe, the Son of Mary!
So bring Him incense, gold, and myrrh,
Come peasant king to own Him,
The King of kings, salvation brings,
Let loving hearts enthrone Him.
Raise, raise the song on high,
The Virgin sings her lullaby:
Joy, joy, for Christ is born,
The Babe, the Son of Mary!

Beautiful song.

What child is this, who, laid to rest
On Mary's lap, is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet,
While shepherds watch are keeping?
This, this is Christ the King,
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing:
Haste, haste to bring him laud,
The Babe, the Son of Mary!

So bring Him incense, gold, and myrrh,
Come peasant king to own Him,
The King of kings, salvation brings,
Let loving hearts enthrone Him.
Raise, raise the song on high,
The Virgin sings her lullaby:
Joy, joy, for Christ is born,
The Babe, the Son of Mary!

if god sums to H then CHRISTMAS says SEE GOD RIST IVI(stitched together) AS. And thus god was 7154 = 7+1+... = 8 = h.

And

GOD
EMPEROR
KING
LORD

all seem to describe the wrist shown. Is that proof that all things commanded to Praise HIM. AND the words are more acurate in TIMES NEW ROMAN FONT.

so if even CHRISTMAS the word commanded to Praise HIM, how does it remind you of HIM?

so what would you do if god revealed himself to you?

yes it goes

what child is this
who lay to rest
shoot i know how it goes but i cant think of any more lines.

ok found it
What Child is this who, laid to rest
On Mary's lap is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet,
While shepherds watch are keeping?
This, this is Christ the King,
Whom shepherds guard and angels sing;
Haste, haste, to bring Him laud,
The Babe, the Son of Mary.

Why lies He in such mean estate,
Where ox and *** are feeding?
Good Christians, fear, for sinners here
The silent Word is pleading.
Nails, spear shall pierce Him through,
The cross be borne for me, for you.
Hail, hail the Word made flesh,
The Babe, the Son of Mary.

So bring Him incense, gold and myrrh,
Come peasant, king to own Him;
The King of kings salvation brings,
Let loving hearts enthrone Him.
Raise, raise a song on high,
The virgin sings her lullaby.
Joy, joy for Christ is born,
The Babe, the Son of Mary.
