Be patient, you'll be an adult soon. High school is not the best place to meet guys anyway. Look forward to college and/or finding a fun job.

It is better to focus on friends (guys and girls) at your age. Getting to know different types of people helps you to figure out what you want in a relationship. I'm sure you don't just want a boyfriend so you can say you have one. Look for a really great guy.

Sometimes girls can seem unapprochable when they're just shy. Ask some friends if they think you're approchable, if you're not, find ways to be more friendly.

If anyone asks why you don't have a boyfriend, tell them your standards are too high!

If your concerned about having a b/f then i think that maybe you really don't understand alot about YOURSELF. Some feel alone and others feel good being alone for the moment and prefer to wait until they are older to get involved in a relationship. Why is this different in many cases?
Most of the time we look around us and see couples having a good time together and so we feel compelled to do exactly the same. Instead of figuring out what we, ourselves, really want, we let the world around us make our decisions. Your parents are only strict because they want to be sure your going down the right path your meant to go by. Parents don't want their children to live lonely lives, but they also don't want to get mixed up with the wrong people. Your young, so don't think that something is wrong with you. Just understand your needs and your goals first before you decide to jump into another lifestyle.

I couldn't date until I was 16, and I only dated a handful of people in high school.

Hang out with friends, they'll always be there for you while guys come and go. Focus on school, and friends, and when a guy asks you out, go have fun. You could even all go out as a group and your parents wouldn't have to know.

Don't worry, you have alot of time to date.

If your parents are strict, they only want to protect you. Sit down and tell them that they've raised you to be responsible and would it be okay for me to start dating now?

Otherwise: Your 18 next year, it's not that far away.

U say it as if its a bad thing! I know plenty of people ur age who have never had a boyfriend. They're gorgeous, smart, funny, friendly people who have just never found the right person to go out with. You don't need to stress over this, you'll find someone whose good enough for you and ur parents will prob accept him within time..

You're too young to be having a bf anyways. Your parents are doing the right thing and protecting from all that crapp. Once you get into your 20's or older, relationships start getting more meaningful, at that age you're not missing out on anything worthwhile.

I understand your concern. I didn't have my first date till I was 20yrs old. I used to think it was embarrassing to admit it, but I've been told by girls and women that they wished they would have waited a little longer too...

Just be patient and don't get desperate. It'll happen, your parents are just trying to protect you and avoid you any mishaps.

You should talk to them and share your feelings. They may not know how you truly feel. If you have someone that is interested in you, then ask your parents you want to invite him over for dinner and let them get to know him. They will be able to see right through him and see his true intentions...

If you had met the right guy yet, you would have found a way to be with him and get around your parents. Obviously you haven't found a guy that's worth while yet. Just give it some time and he'll come along. Good Luck!
