I agree with the experienced breeders. if you know when she was bred, count 9 weeks give or take a day or two would be her due date. If you are concerned, take her to the vet. You let her get pregnant, it is your responsibility to take care of her no matter the cost to you.

you can take her for a walk, but as long as she seems to be doing okay, let her come into labor on her own. Just as with a human, sometimes an extra day or two isn't going to hurt her. If you are very concerned, then take her to the vet for a check up. This is certainly one case where you would not want to use any home remedies, you could cause her as well as the puppies harm.

You would need oxytocin to induce labor and you not being a vet or docot can not get it over the counter.
How far over due is your dog? Normal gestation is 63-68 days
Call your vet if you suspect a problem.

They will come when shes ready, don't you do anything.oh and by the way would you not go to the doctor if you were about ready to give birth.. You have the dog she is your responsibility why wasn't she spayed ? There are far too many animals out there now that either don't have homes or are treated badly by their owners . I'm not saying you are a bad owner don't get me wrong but at least call a vet. Most times they will tell you what to do without any charge. Call the vet where you got her shots done you did get her shots ......Right?

it all depends on how many days/hours is she past due? if it has been 1 day - 3 days i would take her to a vet but you can induce but i would not just in case something should happen

Up to 68 days after the breeding is still normal.
Taking her for walks will help hurry things along, but don't get too far from home.
If she has gone beyond 68 days, she needs a trip to the vet.

No, you don't know why she's not started labor. If you induce labor before the cervix is properly dilated she could be injured or die. Same if she's not delivering because a puppy is too large.
Dog breeding can be a costly endeavour.....

i wouldn't animals have a way of getting through things. my cat irene was 3 weeks late with her kittens but they came out just fine. you should keep an eye on her, when she starts contracting you need to put her someplace alone and not bright with lots of towels. it could take hours but you should be there in case something goes wrong.
