I would move and stay a citizen of my present country.

I'm in BC, Canada. If we seceded from Canada, we would probably become a new state in the USA. Frankly, I'm American born and a naturalized Canadian citizen and I would be alright with being a part of the USA. However, I can't see this ever happening as Canadians are very proud to be Canadian.

Well, if my state seceded, I would stay in Texas. By the way, Texas is the only state that I know of that has that provision in the original aquisition. However, we may have another internal war if that could be instituted. Very unlikely any secession will happen, slim to none. Texas has water, oil, agriculture, industry, etc, etc, etc. We'd make it alone. Trust me.
In Canada, Quebec tried it, by vote. It failed.
As for moving, you have my answer.

Yes, I would move. How could one state possibly muster the financial and other resources to be self-sustaining? And with no FBI, CIA, military, etc, it could very well become a very dangerous place.

So, if nothing else, I would move because the people of the state I was living in would obviously be too stupid to continue living amongst.

Although I do think it would be interesting if we could make an area like California, Oregon, and Washington (maybe more) its own country and let the liberals run it. That way, we could actually see a liberal run "U.S." and a conservative run "U.S." side by side and compare. Very interesting.

Forget the state, I'm tempted to secede on my own.

Depends on why they seceded. If I agree with it then I would stay, if not i would move.
